Another cope for rarran: if the second pie was fleeting, pie toss would be pretty close to the level he was describing.

if it was fleeting it'd be unplayable at 2 mana. all the power comes from pinging at fast speed and then having access to another 1 damage ping whenever you need it

The other thing is that Hearthstone doesn't have blockers (other than the Taunt keyword)... in Runeterra, a 1 damage ping is potentially an entire unit's worth of face damage next time you attack.

Well, for pie toss it wouldn't actually make sense if the perilous pastry dealt more damage. The joke is that it's the same pie! The first time you toss it, no one takes it seriously, so it's fast, but it actually deals damage because there's an anvil inside! After it hits the first time, the anvil gets revealed, you pick it up and you throw it again, but now everyone is more weary of it, so it costs more and it's slow. It's the same pie with anvil, that's why they both deal 1

Something to remember when you were talking about something like pie toss is that on paper is that spells in runeterra are lower impact than in any other card game because of spell mana. That means that they tend to be valued for just being useful if low impact options, which is exactly what pie toss is.

I'd say Mozaki is more of a sidegrade, due to the fact that in runeterra removal is more limited, making threats like mischevious marai more likely to stick between turns. Hearthstone has much more board clears, making Mozakis permanence not that impactful.

Rarran asked about seeing the bottom of the deck - that is functionally what Predict achieves, because it shuffles BEFORE showing 3 cards for its selection.

Technically yes, but he was probably referring to a mechanic in HS called dredge that literally lets you see the 3 bottom cards of your deck. So if the mechanics were the same you would have instant access to the champions which is not the case.

while its not in this video: everytime i see the new cards I can't help but get excited about this hidden gem. In targon, there's a card called: falling star - this card was speculated to be Zoe's new champ spell but it's actually something even better! This card is actually a teaser for a champion named morgana! This image is the rock that contains the blades of kayle and morgana and crashes down in demacia near them! So hyped for morgana! it even has a damage effect if a target has been stunned(rooted in morgs case) Even in the flavor text she's teased: The stars look down upon our acts, be they good or ill. The righteous are lifted up, while the wicked suffer judgment. For more proof, Here's a tiny section from kayle and morgana's story: Morgana’s fears that she and Kayle might carry some remnant of the Aspect’s power were eventually confirmed, when a great blade wreathed in shadow and starfire fell from the heavens. Mischievous Marai reminds me of a legendary minion in Hearthstone called Mozaki, Master Duelist. She was a 5 mana 3/8 minion with “After you cast a spell, gain Spell Damage +1”. She didn’t see play too often but there were times when synergy was strong enough to turn her into basically an Exodia, building up spell damage with cheap or free spells until you have enough to start slinging spells at the opponent. Pretty fun card.

The 2nd pie is good because, it's just more options, and it's also good discard fodder. Discard costs are alot easier to justify if you aren't having to decide to discard something potentially important. It doesn't take up a space in your deck and It's a free bad card, and that makes it good.

Didnt play runeterra for a while, but yesterday decided to join in, all my decks are fucking eternal, and i had to rebuild...deleted my old decks...started browsing cards and...pie toss when i first saw it, i just decided...yep, this is going into my deck...then i added a Nami and fizz, some other spells, and electro harpoons...works pretty damn well so far, hell, beat a Sett Karma which is sorta meta i guess? only played about 5 games of it...also minimorphs OP
