10:44 you have instantly gained all my respect with this one part of the video ive played many game recreations on roblox that only have the basic mechanics copied but small details like these are left out so seeing someone pay close attention to small details when copying something is actually epic.
@john_skiper2631
@john_skiper2631 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I absolutely agree! Many Minecraft copies leave out a ton of details. Like some allow you to jump 2-3 blocks, some have progress bars instead of the breaking animation, some have massive blocks and so on. So this youtuber has also won my respect and a sub.
@rothan34

Very nice! One thing i would improve would be the mining animation a bit. Since in minecraft your hand goes a bit lower than it does now

the animation system will be completely redone in part 2, allowing animations to be created using keyframes instead of loops (my goofy method here)

the reason the FOV is still zoomed out when you "sprint-crouch" in minecraft is because the 30% or so speed bonus is still being applied. it's definitely a bit wonky and was probably a bug, but to my knowledge they have no intention of fixing this so it has become a feature.

I also made a Minecraft clone in Roblox some time ago, but my code was quite messy and I didn't implement that many things, I gave up on the project because I couldn't get prodedural generation to work Some of the things I implemented -Sprinting and Crouching -Minecraft Hand(It wobbles around when walking) -Hotbar(Doesn't work as intended) -Aim in the center of the screen -Attacking Observation: I also changed the game's gravity, because I thought Roblox's gravity was way stronger than Minecraft's.

you should add functioning servers (if thats not too hard), where theres around 5/3 servers that were made by you. for example, a parkour server, a "tnt run" server, and a pvp/mob fighting server. you can come up with your own ideas, as i was only giving examples. you should also add creative mode (again, if thats not too hard).

nice vid, you learn code by just doing it so good for you for that! roblox is fun to work with because it's easy, even when it's unorthodox. there's also lots of tools to make roblox development 1000x easier if you wanted to pursue roblox development more seriously. things such as rojo, which lets you use external programs to code on roblox like visual studio. then there's roblox typescript, which lets you use the typescript language (javascript with more stuff) instead of lua for roblox. then there's frameworks such as knit or flamework which streamline the development experience by providing you with a toolbelt for anything you might need to make. knit is even for both lua and typescript, while flamework is just for typescript.

Hello, another generic roblox programmer here. I understand physics so I can tell you a couple things. First off I see you may be animating the arm/hand by updating the CFrame with a loop, probably a RunService.Heartbeat loop. If you are going to keep that I highly suggest anchoring the arm OR changing the AssemblyLinearVelocity and AssemblyAngularVelocity of the part to 0,0,0 in the same loop you are using to move the arm. That way it looks and feels smoother. On top of that you can use tweenservice to help make arm movements even better. Second off for dropping the blocks for the spin and bounce animation you should do multiple axis' X and Z instead of just one axis which looked like Z. Another thing to note is you forgot to add the particles of the block that come out at random while mining/breaking it. Should be easy to do with either particles. Hope this information helps you or gives you any ideas on how to improve anything.
