Anyone who has tried to accurately recreate physical tools in digital programs knows how HARD it is to get the tiniest details right. Seeing someone as obsessive over their tools as you are actually manage to do so is crazy impressive! I wish all brush pack creators took the task as seriously. This is a seriously cool video, and perfectly put together with a calming yet inspiring vibe (as always). Good work man!

Digital will never replace traditional feeling but it's nice to have access to Digital pads because you get the access to full spectrum of colors for free but the feeling of graphite scratches the surface of a fresh paper , unbelievable

For pencils there's a lot of matte screen protectors you can stick on your tablet to have it feel like paper and real pencil. It just wears the nibs faster, but you can just buy those for like $2 for a set of 10 LOL

Beautiful human being you, thank you so much for this lovely gift- I've been dying for some specific pens, some micron or ballpoints that FEEL like pens, stable line weight, dense but not perfectly smooth. I also wanted an ink brush that feels accurate. You are so generous thank you 🙏 Also, filming the art process is terrible Also also, I also feel the disconnect between my traditional and digital art. Though lately I feel like because I realized I prefer sketchy pen drawing over "finishing" my linework, I've begun to bridge that gap. My tools match more my traditional style rather than trying to push myself to use wild line weight brushes

This is so cool! 10 years ago I tried to master digital drawing after traditional drawing. It felt very different, the colors didn't mix right, the texture of the brushes wasn't quite right, and it turned out very poorly. I quit painting several times because of this. For a long time. For years I tried to do something similar, but nothing worked. A couple of years ago I found Rebelle 7, a program specifically for painters, and it's just something! It's like traditional painting, almost no differences. The most valuable thing for me that it has that other programs don't is the proper mixing of colors. In addition to the various traditional materials, you can even adjust the amount of moisture on the brush or paper and the tilt of the canvas. This is not an advertisement, but you can try it for free p.s. Thanks for the brushes, I will definitely be painting with them. Thanks to you these are my favorite materials as well

I've heard of Rebelle 7 before and it looks interesting. Is it made by the same people that did Corel Painter-X back in the day? That used to have the most realistic brush strokes and paint mixing back in the day. It also allowed you to adjust moisture level of the paint.

Yeah, I just got into drawing and I’ve been drawing a lot. I plan to do more sketchbook drawings eventually, but I was just filling up too many sketchbooks with bad drawings like I have three boxes of them. Once I’m better I’m going to try to keep more sketchbooks, but yeah, drawing on a tablet feels way worse than paper, I bought like three different brush packs and I’ve only liked maybe like five brushes out of all of them. I hate that brush pack have so many brushes, but you only like maybe like one brush out of them.

@@clownRatcity i keep hearing about this but I'm hesitant because once upon a time, maybe almost 20 years ago, I had a wacom tablet and it was super smooth and I was fine with it... then the newer ones were rougher textured and there was a lot more friction that wore the nib down. Seeing as I prefer the smoothest of papers, I'm not sure I'd like the texture screen. Still I think I really have to try it since so many people recommend it.

3:30 maybe it would be possible to just set up a mirror in front of the drawing pad and your camera of to the site, so you film into the mirror which reflects the drawing pad. Not sure how practical it is, but could make things easier if it works. I think they use similar setups to film fast moving objects or to keep the camera save for filming explosions and so on.

tbh, I actually prefer the convert brightness to transparency feature of CSP over other apps. I also use Photoshop and I always struggle with the fine edges/halo around my lines. idk what magic CSP uses but it's much better and faster. The way I have to it in Ps is making a new selection based on the brightess of the img by switching to the channels tab and ctrl + clicking the thumbnais of the RGB, but then I still have to tweak things in the layer mask. A friend of mine uses ibis paint on their phone/tablet and that apparently also has that feature and works great, too.

Wouldn't be easier to animate on layers instead of erasing and redrawing frames?

Question! what drawing tablet you use in the video? do you rate it?

The emulation of real lines and textures digitally is incredible. However, the drawing IS real. It's just done digitally, not traditionally on paper. 'Not real' makes me think of made by/with AI.

@@ChromaMoma I know. I'm saying that the way you made your thumbnail look (and the words that you used) makes me think that you did and might mislead people who come across your video. A "Done digitally" or a similar praising would fit it better in my opinion.

Could you share your reference for your 3D model? I’m looking on the site for full body models but can only find objects and items. The most I’ve seen is a head model.
