I think a toon/cel shader would really improve the look and help distinguish your game from a generic triple-a shooter. Also, the ends of the arms occasionally appear in front of the camera. Keep up the great work!

My problem with the stylising is that most indie games do that when they either cant get their hands on nice assets or need it for technical reasons. I think my 3d work is quite good for indie so i dont really mind blending in with AAA. Thank you :)

These models look amazing! Everything looks so much more immersive! Color grading also helped a lot, it does look really great. Everything about the style is great, and I admire you for making uniqueness a main staple of your game. You really can get so much done just by yourself. I can't wait for the play test!!!!

Looks amazing! Just found your channel and can’t wait to see it continue down it’s development. One thing. 5:33 Oh. My. Goodness. That switch sound (I think you called it the omni switch) is probably the most annoying sound i’ve ever heard. A way to fix that would be making it a more muted sound that blends in better with gameplay (like a glitchy hum), and having multiple different similar sounds play randomly to add some variety. Also I think the glitch sounds should generally be lower pitch so it doesn’t completely penetrate the eardrums like a needle. I would actually blow my brains out if that sound played constantly while I played this

Looks really nice, I think one of THE most important things for game feel and making a map fit in is envieonmental sound effects, like really dynamic sci fi factory machine whirring and by the way the map looks if the gunshots echoed it would feel really engaging

The way that the viewmodels always have the gun slanted is something that I think should be fixed, and at 6:26, when your reloading, pulling back the charging handle looks odd on the gun. Besides these issues, the game looks amazing!

I dont think im changing the guns orientation anytime soon, i enjoy playing with it like that and it looks cool and unique. During the playtests ill find out if it actually interferes with gameplay

Amazing progress update! Maybe on a future level, you could be able hack into more types of technology, like a mech or maybe a higher level robot that would also be harder to kill. This aspect of your game has unlimited possibilities, and no other games has a gimmick like this, so I would recommend leaning more into it. Keep up the good work my guy

This is so cool. I think it would be awesome if you added a giant machine. Maybe like a humanoid robot that you can hack into and run around in and there could be multiple classes for these humanoid robots! For example, there could be a robot that wields a giant sword so you have to get up close, a robot that can shoot fire and has lots of splash damage and a robot that is slow but carries a very powerful minigun. Also you should be able to self destruct the robot and have to hack into another robot before it blows up. This is a very cool project!

Here's another idea, i think ive started all my comments this way but eh, the ablity to use the environment to kill enemies, like explosives barrels, pushing enemies off into the void areas/big drops or gears and stuff, maybe a way to hack forklifts or cranes making them drive forward, turn, lift an item or drop them and so on or in other words: ways to get environmental kills

I have this planned already, i never showed it off but in like my 2nd devlog i made the logic for explosive barrels but i just never got around to adding it. Also originally when i came up with the idea a few years ago i had a shredding machine level in mind where youre not given any weapons and you have to jump into the machine and switch into another body right before you die. So all that stuff will definitely be part of the game later on :)

Hey man, great job so far! Just one suggestion, the shake, blur and pixilation when you switch to a different electrical device is a little to intense for me. It makes me feel a little motion sick. Either reduce it, or give the player an option to reduce it in the settings menu. :)

So here's a thought, why are all these robots armed? Like i understand some security and maybe trying to stop you, but that's probably not what they're invented for, so an idea are there maybe like welding, nail gun, and other more industrial robots which could attack you? If not i guess the crime rate is just kinda high in the area

So the robots are armed because thats what they are there for. The machines should technically be able to operate without anyone nearby so the robots are just there to oversee operations and neutralise threats.

I love the new video transitions, they make the video feel a lot more professional, buuuuut (at the 2:45 sequence the subway surfers sound is too jarring and is way louder than your voice. comedic effect or not, it was a bit jarring) also, your 5:48 sound is also way too jarring (for me) and while it fits with the whole machine theme, i'd rather hear static getting louder while at the same time an audio filter is applied to make things sound more echoey since it's what you'll feel before and during blacking out irl. A similar feeling would be sitting out of your chair too fast. Actually, now that i rewatched it a couple of times i think it would be fine to just dim a bit the high frequency sound a little bit

I forgot to turn off the sound for the subway surfers clip because i added that in last second :( Sorry about that haha. Yea i tried to make the sound jarring enough becuase i need the player to know something bad is about to happen, but ill make it a little less ear breaking :) Thank you

Yea i think ill have to make most robotic things interactive which will make for some really cool moments in the game i think. Though i have a lot to figure out about that because the way i currently have them set up it would be hard to convert them to players control. Also the proper way to do it would be very performance heavy so ill come up with something for that hopefully

So thats a very good question. I was thinking that thered be a button to return to your previous body, but if you kill that, and everyone else. Then thats your fault, you shouldve thought of that. So the turrets antivirjs just kills you. Im gonna have a checkpoint system anyway so you wont even really lose progress

@@Wishbone_Games yeah but your going to have to make it not just forward but like a pizza piece type shape, and the hard part i think will be making it to were if you have already been spoted they can still see u even if u arent in front of them, but so they dont follow you forever id make it to were after they spot u the exept for a pizza shape it goes into that circel and if you stay out of that circle for like 15 or 30 seconds they stop hunting for you

Great amount of progress! The factory looks way better too. Though did anyone notice that the movement accidentally showed the end of the arms at 0:03? Though did anyone also notice the shadow of the arms at 1:03? Could be a good idea for realism purposes to let the robot model cast shadows but if the model isn't fully modeled when you go into it than it could break the realism. For the asmr minecraft something part just that part alone made me close my eyes so I could pay attention to the words. And it made me click the dislike button for the video. But only Wishbone will know that. For the UI, it really makes a good difference to make it tilted and change color but if you want to keep that style than you should also add the effect for the "virus warning" part. And it looks like the "virus warning" part clipped out of the screen. Though for this devlog I can't think of any ideas. So I'll edit this comment if I make up a idea or few.

Thanks for the feedback, i forgot to the remove the sound from the subway surfers part that was a mistake :(. As for the arms, its because i only have arms for the player so ill make the arm movement less strong as to not show the shoulders. The weird shadows are a biproduct of the screen space ambient occlusion i am using which based on the frame will try put some shadows where two objects meet, but in this case i didnt do a great job. I actually forgot to do the tilt for the corner so ill get on that soon. Thanks again

Im very flattered haha. Im lucky because the 3d modelling is probably my favourite part of making games which makes it really easy for me to make quality assets. I think a lot of indie devs are scared to go close to realism because of their skills or budget, and usually low poly would be more feesable for them, which in turn makes like every second indie game look the same.
