This looks so good. It definitely reminds me of Masa, a Nigerian dish as well. I love the use of Coconut milk and sugar and having it with Chai tea sounds delicious . God bless you for bringing us do many interesting recipes from Tanzania. I am adding this to my "must try" recipe list. ❤️❤️❤️

Uzoamaka, first of all beautiful name! I never heard it until this Nigeria actress on tv and plays in the U.S. called the same name, but becos people couldnt pronounce it, she calls herself Uzo. Her surname is Aduba! I love the full name tho! I know my comment is not about food, but i had to tell u how much I love that name! 🙋‍♀️🖐

Omg I thought this was a Nom Kruok from Cambodia! It's made with rice, rice flour, coconut milk, spring onion and sometimes prawn as well. Fried exactly the same way, except you flip one on top of the other to make a ball. To eat, you dip it in a coconut milk and fish sauce mix. Super excited to try this since I have the pan already!

Nana Aba, thanks for sharing the recipe. It's amazing from the comments it's a dish eaten in the West to East Africa, India, Philippines called differently with slight variation in its preparation. Although never been a fan on Masa in Ghana I will give this a try. You did not say what the pan to fry it in was called. I am sure the pan will serve multi purpose in my kitchen one I get my hand on it. 😊

Greetings from Denmark. These masa reminds me of the danish "aebleskiver" made from thick pancake batter. You can put small fruit vedges (apple e.g.) before turning the mosa in the pan. You can also serve them with strawberry jam and powdered sugar with tea or coffee. Your version would be great with bitter-orange jam.Yum. Joan ❤😋
