David you should make a budget version of the Meinl Like Holland Bullet Stack, it sounds sooooo amazing, just costs that Meinl Premium 😂😭. I've tried using a 16" Wuhan Linear Crash, and a modified 12" wuhan splash. Might try Istanbul Xist Ion, but would love to see your take on that stack.

David, have you think of making a pvc snare drum? Pvc that are used in major city piping... or maybe using thick bucket cut to size. 😯
@hdrjunkie4 жыл бұрын
I bought a piece of 14” stainless steel pipe and had a friend turn it into the worlds heaviest snare drum lol... he called it the Frankenstein snare. Very rings but sweet at the same time. It just had to be turned down a good amount on a lathe to get the od the correct size . Here’s a pic of the drum... he also has pics of a few wood shells I made by bending birch wood around some molds made from PVC pipe. They are under the “making shells”tab. wastingwebspace.com/Pictures/CoronaDrumz/StanlessDone3.JPG.

@@hdrjunkie cool dude, how thick is it? And also how is the sound? sustain? Tone? Ring?
@hdrjunkie4 жыл бұрын
@@potassiumchloride2542 it’s pretty thick... has a bit of a ring to it also but with the right tuning and a good head it’s got a good, loud sound. It weighs a ton though lol

Cut large cymbal down asymmetrically to 14 in one direction and 20 or whatever in the other. Use as top or bottom hat. Compare sound when struck with stick to splashed with foot. And compare to regular 14 hat closed with stick.
