At certain angles you can see it "wobble" as it vibrates. Makes it look like it's made of liquid.

With truly handmade cymbals, you can control the amount of tension and having some flex in a pie like this is much preferable to the stiff, manhole cover vibe you get from ‘big cymbal’ 💫

Man this harkens back to 80's/90's jazz fusion so hard! I feel like everyone had a ride like this on their kit - Danny Gottlieb, Omar Hakim, Jack DeJohnette, on and on.. Really nailed that sound, well done RDR & Nicky Moon!

What I like the most about David is he's calming. Even when he plays; doesn't get too hype but you see it on his face that he is feeling the beat. In general, I don't believe a content creator has made me smile more while saying/doing so little as he does sometimes. And plus his beat choice is top tier, mans makes elevator music bops and I'm here for it.

Amazing looks. Amazing-clear-stick-defined sound. Sounds like it suits your set David.

Can't tell if the converted cymbal was an improvement because it was so much quieter. Obviously the gong was trashy and loud and I thought, sounded good recorded. Gorgeous results visually.
@nickymooncymbals3 жыл бұрын
Freshly hand hammered/lathed cymbals take a few months to fully open up sonically - the bronze literally has to decompress and heal from the trauma of the cold work for a it to be able to fully vibrate 👍🏻👍🏻
