I watched it a few time to get the recipes. 1. Micellar: Witch Hazel, Chamomile Hydrosol, Glycerin, Sunflower or Olive Oil, and Jojoba. 2. Date Nut Brulee or Miracle Balm: 1/4c Olive Oil, 1/4c Avocado Oil, 1/4c Hemp Oil, Sunflower Seed Wax or coca butter, 5 drops Frankincense oil 3. Pank Plum Elixir: Sunflower Oil infused with Rose petals and madder root 4. Tea Seed Elixir: half Flaxseed oil, half camellia seed oil, 10 drops sweet orange oil, 5 drops grapefruit oil They keep showing costco Vodka but that wasn't mentioned in any recipes...confused. Also these recipes dont' match what is listed on the company website I've noticed Hope this helps you guys.

Yep. Olive oil is generally too rich for acne prone skin and never use coconut oil on skin prone to breakouts or clogged pores! For blemish prone skin, I like to use high linoleic acid oils like Safflower, Pomegrante or Hibiscus. I also like making an infusion. And I love Camellia Seed (we call it Tea Seed oil since we choose the food grade version that is even more potent). It's in our Plum Elixir and our Tea Seed Elixir.

I think it’s great you shared this with such a large platform 🙏🏻 Over the years people have asked and I’ve told them, shown them etc, but I may have made it seem too complicated because lots of people wanted to do it but admitted they’d rather pay me to do it FOR them. I had considered starting a company but had no idea how to preserve products where they’d be stable enough to maintain efficacy. I love what she said about not wanting to have her face on a bottle, but to just introduce people to alternative skin care methodology :) Dead on, it may not have a pretty bottle for your shelf, it may not smell like heaven but the things you craft at home are clean and will feel amazing!

Would love to see how these types of products work on people with different skin types and how to work around potential allergens/what other ingredients would be comparable in terms of efficacy because I love this idea of sustainable and natural skin care.

Did I miss it, what was the vodka for? Also many dishwashers have a sanitize setting. You can use it for canning.

I was prepared to dismiss this video because most diy skincare is more problematic than helpful but the way the products were formulated seemed really legit. I truly thought it was gonna be full of essential oils that could really irritate the skin when use improperly. I love this!!

good god the amount of pore-clogging oils you used on your face on top of the essential oils made me breakout and irritated my skin just looking at it

I have a severe skin condition and use a homemade lotion: 1/2 cup coconut oil, 1/3 cup aloe gel, about 10 drops each calendula, almond, and tea tree oils....use a hand mixer and mix till fluffy lotion forms

I love this! Something I learned recently is how helpful castor oil is for your scalp. I was dealing with extremely dry skin, and I massaged equal parts castor oil and coconut oil onto my scalp. Let it sit for 30 minutes and then showered it out. It's an amazing and easy home remedy!!

As someone who has overcome neurodermatitis I have to twll you to avoid Glycerin if you do not want your skin to go dry. You will most likely see Glycerin in any transparent or liquid soap. It takes your skin 2-3 hours to recover from it. Use almond oil or olive oil instad.

You probably shouldn't use cocoa butter in the balm if you will be in the sun because you will get tanned (coming from a girl living in Trinidad #islandgirl) I recommend shea butter.

Thank you so much for doing this video. I started reacting to nearly all my skin care about two years ago and have been trying to figure out what the issue is. Knowing I can make my own skincare to just strip out anything that might be bothering me is really exciting. I'm going to give this a try!!

To sterilize the bottle I would clean it like a food canning jar. Wash, rinse, and them give it a few minutes in a boiling pot of water. I would check the type glass to make sure it is safe for that heat though.
