this isn't "new tech", its cool tech, for sure, but not new. viewport frames are very commonly used make 3d effects for gui, because that's quite literally what they're made for. its present in plenty of games.

25:26 after spending 2.3k hours on studio, most gui objs that has their BackgroundTransparency set to anything but 0 (0.01 and higher pretty sure), won't be assumed as "visible" therefore undraggable, my fix was to set the transparency to 0 then back to the original

@@chaoscient no? you can get the velocity of the mouse pretty easily without too much spaghetti code, especially if you make your own mouse class with built in velocity. All you have to do is subtract your previous mouse position with your current one and then get the magnitude, and there you have a simple mouse velocity.

@@damrong3444 the issue is that people expect roblox to give everything to them without thinking about what they can do with existing information, this is why people go to low level languages, they have to actually put stuff together than sitting with everything on a buffet table.

The problem with Roblox games (and most developers) are that they focus less on quality and more on quantity. That's why you see them make 100+ cash grab games with low effort and less games with high quality because spamming random games till one does well is a pretty viable approach. Still think people should try these cool features though.

This doesn’t really make sense you’re always stressed to use UDIM and thrown errors and now I just see a Vector3 value slapped into a GUI localscript Edit: watched it all it’s a part makes total sense Also works across clients because it’s local. However checks will still need to be done server side to ensure no one abuses the actual store itself. With some more camera tricks and view port frames you could have an actual shop. I have thought about this before because I play hearthstone and if you look at their menu it looks like it’s composed of objects or “instances” as Roblox likes to call them
