Spray the mold areas with fine mist of hydrogen peroxide and let it dry before you sand it. Then repeat after sanding. A restoration specialist told me that is the best way to kill/retard mold in homes that are flooded. I used it on my mom's baseboards after her hot water heater broke and flooded her house. She hasn't had any problems with mold since.

The electrical problem is likely a poor connection somewhere that's either corroded or the prongs on a fuse are loose from overheating and also check connections for deep corrosion that has traveled up in a wire where a terminal is crimped to the wire. The other common problem is a loose or corroded common ground wire on the DC system. Good Luck on finding the problem, Take Care

I love your new camper. Hope you enjoy a million great adventures in her. That's the first thing I did in my truck camper -- remove all the window treatments. I bought blackout curtains, cut them to fit and hand stitched them as I don't have a sewing machine. The new curtains go from top to bottom and side to side over the windows and completely covering the surrounding wall space. I did this on all windows except over my kitchen counter as didn't want to risk the stove catching the curtains on fire. Instead, I covered a section of refectix with the same blackout curtains. That way it lies flat against the wall away from any flames. Again, that piece covers the window and the surrounding wall area. I just remove it during the day to let light in. Truly makes the interior seem so much larger. I chose a light gray color. The best change, however, was sacrificing a clothes closet to install a custom made small wood stove. That looks like cooking grease on your cabinets over the stove. Try using some Awesome and a gentle scrubby on it before sanding it down. 😀

Also, you may wanna buy a roll of reflectix at Home Depot or Lowes, cut out sizes to cover your windows and vent to help with insulation. Also, tear out that vent and get yourself a fantastic fan. It’s definitely worth the money…..p.s…don’t allow any food particles, grease or juices to go into your grey tank. Continue to wash your dishes with the wipes and only allow soapy dish water to go into your grey holding tank. Grey tanks can smell just as bad as black tanks if you’re not careful.

The wrinkled varnish on the wood does not look like mold. It's just from years of high temps and low temps with moisture (condensation). They make a special soap (Murphy Oil Soap) that will do a fantastic job at cleaning it. You may want to lightly sand it after just to get rid of all the wrinkles. It was so exciting to see all the lights on! For a moment?! I hope you get the electrical figured out! Once again, Thank you for sharing!

In a bathroom I had with some mold or mildew spots I used TSP detergent in water to wash with a scrubby pad and then rinsed with a little bleach in water and let dry, then lightly sand a little before painting. There are primers/paints with a mildew/mold/moisture resistance in the paint. Might need some mold or moisture resistant primer first depending on the paint and material you are painting over to prevent the mold or mildew from returning. There may be better materials now, this was over 10 years ago. But it worked, no more mold or mildew none ever returned.

You are off to a better start than most. Best suggestion I have for you is to never touch mold without gloves and to replace the cloth curtains with metal blinds where your stove is. Every RV I've looked at has metal blinds near that area to avoid a possible fire. I have seen an entire kitchen and living room burned to ash before the fire department was able to put out the fire. Stay Safe!!! Continue on your great journey! Best of luck to you.

It might be just years of grime built up. If it was mold, I would think you would be able to smell it. There's a product called Krud Kutter Gloss Off. It's a great cleaner prep for painting. Just wipe it on till you achieve the level of cleanliness you want, wait about 15 minutes and paint away. So far, the only place I have been able to find it is at a Dun Edwards paint store. Make sure you get the Gloss Off, not the Cleaner. I prepped my whole kitchen and laundry room cabinets with this stuff. Much easier than sanding. It even takes off greasy stains on the walls and appliances without harming them.

I always love your videos and I like your changes, they're simple and modern. I think any mild painting over the cabinets or the walls is fine, and the hardware is appropriate. For acoustics and insulation, I've used carpet tiles on the walls vs painting, some patterns resemble textured wallpaper, and work nicely. Once you add a backsplash to the kitchen area, utensils and spices, it'll be really cool. The nice thing is, it has good bones and a SOLID spacious design. It's practical layout doesn't require major modifications, there you're lucky. Unfortunately electrical issues are a pain in any expenditure, but I'm sure you'll fix it to satisfaction. I always install battery operated lights as well just in case as they provide the same lighting. There are several LEDs that produce a great deal of light that recharge with USB. It'll be interesting to see your winter sport videos because I too like the cold weather. Also, enjoy your fishing videos, but my favorite is ALWAYS your cooking 😋 Yum...!
