*SEAT SUSPENSION* is a thing. Yes, you need an extra seat. So you have the main seat for steering, and an extra seat for suspensions, with an L-shaped arm with the seat's steering bearing on one end and the wheel's bearing(s) on the other end. The length and height of the L-shaped arm change how the suspension behaves. And it's useful to have a limit so the suspension can bottom out while the wheels are still in contact with the ground.

You can go up a level in the building you were raiding at 09:00. You need to use your lift on the steel beams on the side and then you can get to the next level. And don't forget that driving with drills constant spinning it also consumes extra fuel. So you can better use your switch you have in the chest to disable them when you don't need them.

something you might wanna do.. maybe.. is make a level 5 controller, and make two rubber ducks to use as wheels powered by the controller (or even just a second engine idk), and have them on the back of your vehicle. have them on pistons so they push down to the ground and start spinning when you turn them on. it's not very fast but the grip will get you up just about any hill, and is also about walking/running speed so you can have the train slowly chugging along while you're away from it.. you mentioned doing that last episode, not sure how good an idea that actually is but there it is...

You should build a controller to use as a backup engine when the gasoline ends. Un-upgraded probably slower than manhandling the vehicle, but way less tedious.

kan do yourself a favor and place those drills on a suspension strength 1. makes it way easier to farm. it absorbs the kickback on both blades and drills.

For just raw storage, the smaller chests are significantly cheaper in metal, lighter, much more compact, and require no component kits. Only the vacuum-system enabled chests need those. EDIT: There's also the locker and microwave in your starting crashed ship, but they're much inferior to chests as soon as you're able to make those.

Hear me out, my first successful scrap utility vehicle was 2 corigated metal roofs, 1 lvl 4 controller, 1 scrap seat, 12 bearings, 4 big wheels, 6 small curve pipes, 2 t-pipes, 10 small short pipes, 2 big short pipes, and 1 bed. Put this together correctly and you will have a vehicle capable of being weighed down by and pulling a trailer full of the entire warehouse roof without spending neither a drop of fuel nor a percentage of charge. If this doesn't have enough power add more axels, controllers, and bearings.

For your train idea, have the front car to be lighter and can detach as you want to mine or be more mobile. Each train car really should have its own engine so you can cross steep grades (take one section up the grade, run back for the next section, and repeat).

You can make a simple live axle suspention without using springs by using 4 bearings and corner pipes. To do this, you need to add a bearing on each side of the live axle, then connect corner pipes towards the centre in a S shape an connect those to the main body with another bearing. It does work well, but since the axle will be slightly lowered i would strongly recommend using the larger wheels for greater ground clearance.

Hey Kan, Craftbot Level 5 does reduce the craft time by 20%. Also if you have either one chest either end of the Craftbot, or pipes connecting both ends to a chest, you can start setting up "cycles" of items per-slot.

My main survival world the main vehicle has arms that go down the side and has drills facing outwards. Then when I'm mining they pivot at the front to extend forwards and effectively hug the stone node. I eventually made them tilt too. But the benefit is I can spam the open/close button and herd bots and then clap on them with the two arms. In our country we used to call it being "tango'd" as there used to be an iceblock called a tango and in the ad they used to simulate the flavour explosion by slapping both sides of your head at the same time with the catch phrase "You know when you've been tango'd".

I think a good but still 'Nomadic' rule you could have, is that you can disconnect a a 'roaming' vehicle from your roadtrain, however that vehicle must contain all of your storage.

I follow where you’re going on that snow plow idea kan how many pistons tie do you wanna go though one or two when it comes to your suspension upwards for clearance cause I can see the belly of your vehicle being very low to the ground if you don’t give it enough clearance for your idea, especially on hills for the notes as well with the mining idea which is kind of why I bring it up not just for a double piston stack when it comes to not hitting bumps and ease of driving and chopping up wood with your idea of doing the sawblades.

I think it stands to reason that if an individual is under water, and they have in their possession an empty bucket, that bucket would fill with water, assuming it has no lid, and is not contained in some larger container which is sealed water tight.

there are two buildings that have a loose big green crate. One is a poi tower and the other is at the large chemical station where you fight a farm bot. You cannot weld them or pick them up. Putting them on the nomad train would be risky as you cannot pick them up with a lift.

I tested it out in my train map and the game runs 10x better with a series of disconnected cars instead of 1 connected creation, while im on my laptop, the lowest my frames got with 3 cars and my engine was 30, and that was enough for me to carry everything i needed: craftbot, storage, refinery, cookbot, water, oil, and chemical collection, farming (using fant mod parts), mining and sawing, and bed.

If you 'll die at some point, leave one item in the bag and weld the bag on your car. Then you have a free transmitter for locating your car again. And its much smaller. If thats allowed for your Nomad rules of course .

Suggestion: Attach an arm to the vehicle with TWO bearings and attach the wheel to the arm. This SHOULD work like suspension and make driving at least tolerable. Disclaimer: I’m at 20:15 in the video, so you could’ve gotten suspension by the end lol

You have to be in same chunk as the items for a certain amount of time (I think 12 minutes) for the items to de-spawn. If they are in an unloaded chunk, the timer will not be timing
