Check out the “knight minilab 2010”. I literally carry that thing everywhere. It’s a prototyping workstation and electronics lab in a briefcase. Containing AC and DC power supplies, function generators, built-in breadboard, potentiometers, you name it. I customized it a bit, and now it contains a battery powered 100mhz oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, ts80 soldiering iron powered by battery bank, and a few other things. Not only is it useful for Prototyping and learning… But it’s my portable “fix-it kit” that I carry to factories and other clients when doing component level board repair, test gear calibration, or diagnosing other industrial electronics issues.

Giaco sorry to hear you were sick , This set up is great and looks beautiful. I am still amazed at your at your wallet . I really take it out and just look at it thinking of the GIGANTIC uses for it . And it is strong , the Maker knife is Unbelievable , that too I just look at it and take it apart visually, its Beautiful and works like the fine tuned tool you designed . Stay well to your family and you my friend , Bela Vide .. Remember I am still holding all those electronic components for you . 😎👌🤜🤛

Try using Fritzing for your electronic projects! With your CNCs you can easily mill your PCBs so that you get rid of cables.

Clear conformal spray would be good. It is specifically made for electrical insulation. Any clear spray paint would likely be fine for the voltages you would work with, but there is a professional option. I really enjoy all your videos. I miss your daily updates, from earlier this year, but I certainly understand that the world has changed, for all of us.

It is a box , but instead of things going inside it they go on the outside. Effectively some furniture for prototyping with Arduino/electronics, and keeps all the bits still when working on them. It would be even better if he used the internal space to house some batteries and stuff.

That's an awesome idea! I use the Adafruit Feathers so they are all stuck on a 3 feather wing thingy. But putting that at an angle or in a stand would be a good idea. I am always worried that it's going to slip over or slide and touch my MBP or the metal keyboard.

You'll be fine with bare metal (unless you want something to protect the metal) Your boards are on insulated stand-offs, and even if one wire touches the metal while it's powered, there's no circuit Surprised you didn't put a power supply in the base (5V &3.3V maybe)
@GiacoWhatever4 жыл бұрын
I actually thought about the power supply and even bought one but then I thought it doesn’t really give me an advantage, I still need to plug it on the wall and cable would be in the way... so I ditched the idea.
