10 minutes in and I already read two comments about me wanting to steal your ideas... Besides facepalming hard, I can tell you that if you have the best coat hanger idea in the World please consider to patent it and become a billionaire! For all the others: I’m here to learn too and I’ll share my ideas as well...

It could be risky, or it could be a great move to send one of these nice screwdriver to *Louis Rossmann.* By risky, I mean Louis is a genuine person and he cares (about facts an truth). When something is bad, he doesn't have a problem to say it, same thing when he likes something, he has no problem promoting it. He did it with his microscopes, and many other products he uses every single day.

@@darth_dan8886 He does,...so? Did you watched any of his videos? Yeah, he spends hours of screwing and unscrewing to get into these macbooks. And he works on other pieces of electronics too, like his electric bike. *He always talks highly about the tools he likes and uses.* That's the point, this kinetic screwdriver could be a very good tool for him (or not). But having a crossover between Giaco the creator and Louis the user, would be great. I like birth and I want both to have success. But thanks for your "XD lololol"

You might also be able to market the fact that because the kinetic driver makes you do just One Motion with your fingers rather then many per screw, it can help reduce chances of carpal tunnel.

A way I would improve the coat hanger is by making it fold down. you would fold down the 2 arms allowing you put the hanger through the top of a shirt and then extending the arms to hold the shirt up. The reason I don't hang shirts is because they are easier to fold so thats where this "innovation" comes from. If enough people are interested I could CAD it and potentially make a prototype.

My issue with my current hangers is that they fail with load, you can buy stainless steel hangers for motorcycle gear, but the hook is fixed. So make the hanger from 316 stainless-steel (not to discolour clothing) tube (reduce weight) for a safe working load of 100KG (in-case you hang off it), mount the hook loosely so it swivels but cannot fall off. The trouser rail could be removable. And a shoe-claw fitted under/opposite the hook. Or a spring-loaded grasp for holding socks And don't forget name-holder for owners in communal areas to identify their hangers.

What a great coincidence, just last week I was thinking of a better coat hanger design for hanging up my dry or wet suit after paddling. My idea is similar to some of the designs that are already on Instagram in that the arms fold down so it can be entered through the neck. I would also like the arms to be wider at the shoulders as thin coat hangers leave permanent marks in the neoprene of a wet suit.

I hate coat hangers, my first improvement would be to burn it but otherwise I'd be looking for a way to store them more easily. I'll have a think. I keep thinking about ways to add a magnet to that screw tray, either a switchable electromagnet with rechargeable lithium battery in the case or a rotating magnet with a clicky button like the magnetic indicator bases. Pros and cons, I just don't think my original idea of a permanently magnetic tray is a good idea. The option to magnetise and de-magnetise bits and screws would be good too, ooh.

i'd like to see a triple-decker clothes hanger that can hold an entire suit (pants on top cuz they're longest, jacket next, collared shirt under that) and then a discrete place to put a tie or bow tie. or maybe, a clothes hanger shaped object, but it is meant to hang other things; like maybe a bow tie hanger, or a purse hanger.

The thing I was thinking about doing was making the whole thing fold down into a pull with a hook at the end of it. One handed use. Click a button and the suit or shirt falls off. The hanger would pack up easily as well.

Giaco, I just discovered your channel and there are so many videos I want to watch. Could you maybe tell me the top 10 you would reccomend? Also, I wonder how would you go about designing your own custom motorcycle armor for jacket/pants/etcetera? For the coat hanger I would put leaf(?) spring connectors where the arms meet the top, so the hanger would fold and you could just pull straight down to remove your coat. ♡

Most tool manufacturers do not put enough thought into how their tools are stored or held in place. Cases and holders always seem to lack an efficient and easy user interface or storage method. a good example is most hex key holders and storage methods. They are nothing but a pain in the butt. I think what you are doing could help inspire people to make solutions to things like that. Thanks! : )

Sorry all if I explain it in italian...

@gmonte00
@gmonte00 4 жыл бұрын

You are stepping in to the realm of industrial design, and being an industrial designer, I would be careful about the challenge that I put forward. The item that you are asking to be re-designed or improved, as you stated, has not changed, in a drastic manner, for a very long time, and there are reasons for that that I can not get in to here. So, it would have been better to start this challenge with some object that does is not so rooted in the history of functional objects, something that can be simplified or improved without prior knowledge. Two cents.

@@GiacoWhatever I was trying to help you in your challenge, which I actually thought was a good idea, by beginning with a simpler object and then progressing to an object like a coat hanger, a clip, a pencil or similar objects that are quite hard to start with. However, I see that you dont take critisim too well. On a side note, judging my career with my single comment puts you on a way different level than someone that I would like to have a conversation with, sorry.

No no I take it very well but that “just one comment” can only show one kind of mentality and it’s cancer. The worst thing ANYONE can say in my opinion and something I’ll fight against forever! I’m still having a conversation but my opinion is very strong and cannot water it down...
@hendrixh
@hendrixh 4 жыл бұрын
@@GiacoWhatever Im glad you are committed but, what is your point? What is in that "one comment" that you were so moved by? I have been teaching ID for 18 years, and Im sorry to break it to you but, giving the hardest problem in the beginning always decreases the potential for success, especially for people without the formal education. Guessing that most of your subscribes or followers are not mostly ID professionals, it might actually become discouraging rather than encouraging. However, if you had started with an object that is easier to begin, then if this challenge routine holds, maybe on the 10th challenge you could have said coat hangar, and during these 10 challenges, everyone would have learned during the process. Thats all that I recommended, and Im not guessing this or have a feeling about this, I know this from experience. If thats not what you want to do fine but, dont judge my abilities or my career without knowing me, that would be very silly, to put it mildly.
