For those curious about the kind of guitar spiderpunk uses, it's most likely a Gibson Les Paul or something of that variant with *a bunch of stickers* and it's kinda worn down. So do what you want with this info (Also in certain cases his guitar appears to be some kinda fender stratocaster, depends what image you're working off of and if you go by character sheets, comics, or movie)
@justquiro3112 Жыл бұрын
Was here to say the same! Gibson/Epiphone Les Paul is the movie version. And yes, depending on the comic, it's usually a fender a stratocaster. Gibson SG i've also seen. There's a cover art with a weird looking one that looks to have a gibson style pickup (only covers the side) and head (like a Flying V's head), but has a fender jaguar/jazzmaster looking body, so it's a custom lol. Meanwhile in the Insomniac game, the Spider Punk guitar seems to be something in the lines of a Gibson Explorer

Can’t wait for someone to get a LP style guitar to decorate into this guitar. Hobie’s guitar is based on a Gibson Les Paul guitar. I doubt he has a proper one due to how batshit expensive they are, but there’s a fuckton of off brand versions
@malcomthonger Жыл бұрын
It would be pretty on character for him to have stolen a real les paul, being anti-establishment and all that.
@biazacha Жыл бұрын
I mean he was a runway model, money may not be a problem to him he’s just the type who doesn’t fall for capitalist traps; but buying a secondhand guitar that he KNOWS is the real deal is something I see him doing, rather than stealing.

i was waiting for this video A LOT, i wanted to cosplay hobie so much since he came out, but i was kinda scared about the guitar, but yours is insanely similar to it, so i have some hope again. Anyway, about the video, you've been pretty clear about how to make it and the explanations, just maybe next time it would be helpful a material list. Also an idea for a video (for those like me who are new to cosplays🦍), you could talk about the materials u generally use, especially on where to get em, and what kind to get; cause like in my case i'm kind of afraid on what foam to get, and where to buy this stuff. Anyway thanks a lot for this tutorial, it will be helpful to a lot of people

The cool bit of this is a lot of what you did mimics actual guitar building. The ending bit where you mention adding a dowel rod is actually why guitars have whats called a truss rod. The tension of the strings will pull the neck forward and seriously bend it. Sometimes the wood has a natural backbend and that rod lets you tighten or loosen it enough to play.

as a guitarist this is so amusing-- really great job with an aesthetically on point recreation!!! as others have stated- it'd be rad to see a playable version!!! maybe a sequel is in the works-- could take a secondhand les paul and repaint it, maybe mess with the knob shapes as well. it'd be sick!

First off marvelous work! You really nailed this one. Second, this was a great watch seeing the process from start to finish. I think my favorite part was watching how you assembled the neck of the guitar. But it was dope seeing how you cut, shaped and put together each part even with all the little details.

very nice build! as a guitar nerd myself, i have to say, you made a very cool les paul type guitar!
@toast7974 Жыл бұрын
Like others have said the guitar resembles a Gibson Les Paul, But they also have another company call Epiphone which makes cheaper ones compared to Gibson's. The trade off is cheaper parts but that does not make too much difference and they look the exact same for way cheaper. Also if anyone was wondering the top of a guitar is called a headstock.

I really like seeing how much extra effort you put into making sure it was correct as possible. Sound quality much better in this video👌. Also bless🙏 the beginning with your little drink noise🤣🤣. Thie time I listening with my earbuds but, before I realize how loud it was the noise went right into my ears🤣🤣🤣 startled the s*** out of me. My particular part I don't remember you doing it in the first video but what you would have did differently actually really enjoyed your own commentary on yourself. The shots were much better too and I love that you have your little jokes in between your shots leaving attention while still giving leeway to what you are doing💜💜.
