18:00 there's a bug where your game can get stuck thinking the "ping" key is held down which prevents you from controlling your units at all. That might be what happened to the opponent.

Are you, or is anyone able to elaborate or help us reproduce this? It sounds similar to another known issue but we're not sure if it's the same thing. And it's hard to tell from the video.

At first i was very skeptical of your game, but getting my hands on it i wish i supported it on kick starter. Also this game just needs more time and optimization, my gtx 970 can barely run the game at smooth 60 1080p. if at all @@FrostGiantStudios

@@FrostGiantStudios To elaborate further, my game gets stuck in a state where it thinks I'm holding down the ping hotkey so any action to select or move units just pings the map instead. I can get out of it by pressing down the ping key a few times.

B.O.B. pulls might work but there's such a big snowball effect when they reach low HP and get infested by Gaunts, you don't really wanna have 10 Fiends instead of 10 SCVs after a minute of fighting :D

I like the way you explained all the new mechanics as you encountered them. Like the creep camps, not just saying what it does but also explaining damage types and good opportunities or reasons to take a camp so its easy as a new viewer to follow.

Here's some easy one base cheeses so if you are new you have some kind of build to start with thats easy to execute. Oh I got supply blocked? Good thing I can quick build. Willfully encountering the issues a new player would have and solving them on screen.

The guy in the second game might actually have been telling the truth. I was testing the game out with a friend and i ran into a bug where i literally couldnt select my units for about 45 seconds. It felt so odd at first i thought vanguard had an ability to disrupt control over units or something. (I was playing infernals and my friend was vanguard) That said, those few units versus someone who knows how to stutter step didnt stand a chance in the first place.

you should try a BOB rush w/ overcharge. Since you can overcharge a building CC, iyou can make a CC right outside the oponents vision, overcharge, cancel, then push. I was able to stop it but only because i spotted his BOBs moving out early.

You can use overcharge ability offencively for your B.O.B pulls by starting a command center near enemy base, using the overcharge on it and then cancel the command center during the attack. though this will cost 100 lumenites for cancel, but considering it upgrades all of your bobs into a lancer equivalent for a limited time, i think its worth a try.

I have played the game, it is nice but feels like map=warcraft2; gameplay=StarCraft2, for example the vanguard. Scv = BOB, 50 minerals=50 luminade, then you build your suply depot/meetfarm wich costs 100minerals / 100 luminade!

uThermal, have you ever played Tooth and Tail? I was thinking maybe the Vulcan was inspired by the Badger from that game, going by your description. The game is niche, though, so who knows if the devs are even aware of it. It's a pity, because it's a fantastic and unique take on the RTS genre in my opinion. I wonder if you would like it; it's definitely very different from your average RTS.

Throw some Medics with the Dogs and their ability to cast an AoE Heal spell on a dog that will last for ~10-20 seconds healing each second makes their pull-back and micro even MORE rewarding! I think the Dog upgrade for extra attack vs. Light will also be a great idea for sending a few dogs (super cheap) to clear creep camps around the map while adding pressure/macroing.

I wonder if you would enjoy Zero-K, it allows for some pretty crazy strategies with the unit physics and terraforming (and it's free/open source) Beyond All Reason is good too, looks better than Z-K, same Total Annihilation roots, just not as crazy with the things you can do.

Zero-K have everything, awesome "draw on the map to make formations", incredible shared base coop fun (campaign and vs players), or huge 16x16 players games ! imagine playing a game together with 31 of your viewers :)

I've been trying one base and timing attacks and am convinced that cc first into whatever... is essentially a "one base" attack from sc2. So far, making Lancers until you get your 2nd cc and etherium running full force and then pumping out exo's with the upgrade and just going all in from 2 bases is absolutely brutal. You can stutter step micro the upgraded exo's like sc2 marines and they shred everything.

i actually LOVE the fact that you can't make exos without making tech. marines as a concept are insanely overpowered- evidenced by the fact that your tier 1 unit is almost unanimously voted the best unit in the game, and the fact that you can win games with them exclusively at basically all stages of the game. that being said, pathing and terrain are way more interesting with melee units than ranged units, and i think being able to blow up tech to prevent or delay exos coming out is exciting and a good thing. imo terran units were (and kinda had to be) nerfed by the fact that marines are so strong, and it made the game a little bit linear and less interesting. marines are kinda boring and i'm glad to see the recipe changed a bit in ways that are more counterplay friendly

repair is free and this particular map has 4 free mini mineral patches you can claim that randomly spawn in a few set locations. Seems you opponent in the last game farmed a few creep resources camps and also went looking for the free mini patches.

They REALLY need to change it back so that the white health bar weakens when u are off shroud! that was a GREAT limiting factor to the infenerals and really forced them to be more choosy with their engagements. Now they really can attacks and spam without much consequence.

Irrally hope that stormgate, not just deliver on its promises. I hope it becomes better, more successful, most influential RTS in gaming and even more fun than SC ever was. However, it's way off atm.
