I'm a Scratch game developer, and for the past year I've been working on Scratch's most complete remake of the original Super Mario Bros. game from 1985.

I played this game prior to watching this video, and it’s one of my favourite projects on Scratch! PS: Mario hits blocks with his fist, not his head. Just wanted to clarify. Also, some of the sound effects are kinda low-quality so maybe improve them in future updates.

I played the game, and it was pretty enjoyable! Aside from the missing things from SMB1, there are only three flaws that lie on the player itself. Mario feels very slow. He jumps slow, he falls slow, he walks slow, it feels like he's in space (I had to play the project at double speed for it to be bearable) He's also able to turn in mid-air, which shouldn't be possible. And he's unable to run over 1-block-wide gaps, which actually ruins a challenge in one of the cloud bonus areas and affects levels like 8-1 a lot.

But I have a question: When I walked backwards on the level, the camera stopped scrolling at some point, not at the edge of that word but in the middle of it, some people said that it was an original game mechanic, was it? - Have a nice day Chippy!
