I was driving with my wife to get groceries when I noticed 2 overgrown properties on the same street. I tried to knock on the door and nobody answered. It looked abandoned! The next day, I knocked on the neighbors door and asked him about the overgrown properties. He told me the owner lives in one of them. I got a hold of the owner and told him that i'd give him both of his yards a free makeover. I made 2 of the worst looking yards on the block shine like diamonds. That is a rhododendron. Very common around here. They grow better over on the coast around Seattle. The shrubs in front by the steps are junipers and the taller shrubs on either side are arborvitae.

You have a place set for everything you use..lawn mowers, tools, edgers, weed eaters...NOW.. Fix you a spot for a large cooler, that when its needed, you have it. Research the brands, to find one that would hold up under 6 to 8 hrs of heat. as someone who lives out in the country "not middle of nowhere just not under the control of a municipality" throwing your clippings back on the lawn is a great way to save money on fertilizer and provides a good result when done properly

What a cracking job you've completed on this property. 👍👍👍 You have got a very steady hand trimming those two conifers and large junipers. That tree looks so much better with its hair cut. The rhododendron with the purple flowers, is a beautiful sight to see, here in the UK their flowers have long gone. It looked a big plot for you to do, but your hard work has shone through! What a difference, looks brilliant! It's very risky however to cut the grass soo short when it's been left soo long. The best possibly way to keep life on the grass would be to take a maximum of half the height off of the grass to keep the broad on each blade of grass which encourages the roots to thicken after it next obsorbs water😊

Purple Passion Alstromeria, aka Peruvian Lily I believe. Beautiful. They look like orchids! Thanks to Fill's wife for bringing him water! A ton of heavy duty edging, yes! A lot of reaching on the bush trimming as well. That man knew what a great job he was receiving and greatly appreciated it. We old schoolers believe in a laborer entitled to his wages and it's sometimes difficult to accept gifts. But He also says we are to accept gifts with grace and not to take the blessings from the giver! God bless you! Also, owner is trying to make repairs and improve appearance of home step by step so this will lift his spirits and greatly encourage him!

Nice work Fill. That yard needed a lot of help. It is really amazing how fast grass can grow. Before you know it, the lawn gets away from you.
