Brilliant Olav, you've got a very smooth playing style. When the moustachioed umpire got hit in the face I immediately thought of Luk!
@akfsx10 ай бұрын
I also noticed that. In the beginning it was really smooth and looked slow yet effective. Further it became much faster yet smooth.

Congratulations. Your play is amazing. I enjoy your style of play very much. Your backhand and the way you stay at and command the table is inspiring.

Congrats for the second place and really strong performance! Which equipment are you currently playing and would you recommend the hybrid k3 or the evolution mx-p as a backhand rubber?

congratz Olav! May I ask, do you know why, Cedric Nuytinck, Martin Allegro and Adrien Rassenfosse did not participate? Enjoy your vice Belgium Championship ;)
@OlavKTTT10 ай бұрын
I paid them off so I could get on the podium for once. Seriously though, Allegro and Nuytinck had an important tournament for the Olympic qualifications. Adrien was going to come and defend his title, but had to call off at the last moment because of a small hip injury that he didn't want to get worse (as he's also trying to go to the Olympics this year).

Great video Olav! I have a question, how many hours are you training per week and how many hours do you think you should train to get to a pro or semi pro level?
@OlavKTTT10 ай бұрын
I play between 2 to 10 hours a week, table tennis only. Usually it's about 2, 3 sessions, but that's because I don't want to become a professional player anymore. Ideally, you'd want 9 or 10 sessions a week (and then physical training, recovery and service on the side), with a rest session after every fifth session.

Great stuff, Olav! But why do you think that will be the last time you made the Finals? 🤔

There were a lot of absences this year, so next year the field will be stronger again.
