As a South African(and someone who has made amapiano songs), it feels weird seeing the world vibing to Amapiano, and not in a negative way just because it was only ours for so loong lol. Add the fact that Gqom didnt go as crazy but almost did. In a nutshell this is dope

But why? Why the comparison… the shade? You guys own Amapiano, no need to trash others when they try. Please note how he reached out to a non-South African to get some insight and that guy didn’t throw shade. Lastly, when westerners do amapiano you sing praise…when someone from the continent tries its deemed subpar? Why do black people hate themselves like this? Music is meant to be beautiful.
@gbmwex_ Жыл бұрын
@@BatsiraiMusuka I get you. We have to unite as Africans, but the problem is Nigerians have a habit taking all the credit. If you didn't know some artist from Nigeria stole Deep London and Boohle's song - Hamba wena.
@BatsiraiMusuka Жыл бұрын
@@gbmwex_ l saw that… but that’s just one duo out of a whole country. And they were not even mainstream artists at all. In fact, the reactions they got from South Ah actually probably propelled them into “fame”. (I’m sure the majority of Nigerians were like “who are these guys?”). I prefer to focus on how Fokalistic went to Nigeria to hang with them and exchange knowledge. He even said he got to learn how Davido does big international arenas. Truth is the human mind is primed to focus on the negative and social media isn’t helping at all. Positive news doesn’t really make waves…we always jump at controversy

Nigerian amapiano is a sub-genre of amapiano. They aren't trying to make it exactly the same. they're adding their own sauce to it. It would be boring if everyone's amapiano sounded the same.

I do agree with Samybeatz though. I don't think you can truly learn how to make any cultured genre in 24 hours because like he said you have to live it to understand it. Of course we can click through soundpacks and all that to get sounds but a lot more goes into truly understanding genres like amapiano that come from a long history of life and music in their respective countries of origin.

the second one had the Ama vibes. Tho, id say they both felt inspired by... not straight up Amapiano. First one... was slowed down house. ha. The rhythms of the bell via the kick, snares and log drum are way more intricate or wild. ha. Depending on how you look at it. The bounce they have created is unlike any other. That and Baile Funk. As a producer myself, Im looking for any amapiano producers looking to collaborate. Lets work! Show us the way! ha.
