I made the HARDEST Payday 3 stealth challenge... then beat it

Payday 3 stealth is way too easy. How do we fix it? By making it way harder on ourselves. I hope Overkill makes it harder in the future.

For dirty ice you can take the crystal from the vault and everything from vip (no scan) for 100% required loot

This was originally the final condition for my challenge. I wanted to add no skills, but I figured that it'd take way too long to find something that works so I removed it instead. I did end up getting to Turbid, but then lost due to a camera bug that has since been patched. Not sure if I'll ever bring this one back, but if I do then it's something that'll have to be paired with VERY FEW other conditions.

You could add a time limit onto the hesits, so you have to complete it in X amount of time. Maybe an always masked run, where you have to mask up 10-20 seconds into the run or something Maybe a VIP target challenge. Select a random NPC you have to take hostage and bring to the escape with you

A time limit would be interesting. The only heists I would want to remove from the list if I did would be NRFTW and Touch the Sky as brute force is the best option for both heists, and there'd just be too much RNG for my liking. An all masked run would also be interesting. I just feel like it could be a lot more frustrating on something like Gold & Sharke. A VIP target would be very interesting, but much like all masked there are a couple heists where that would be frustrating because of where the exit is. That, and I would have to find an NPC to use for it.

I personally dont think its that bad. My biggest complaint would be disabling the security bars. Standing in a circle just isn't as fun as disabling boxes around the gallery like in PD2. I think it has one of the best atmosphere's in the entire game though.

Masking is not forced in NRFTW, you can open the door to the vault ON THE LOBBY SIDE (this is so that the civilian won't walk into that area) and brute force the code. You only have to avoid the camera and guard. The guard is rather easy since he spends most of the time faced away from you. EDIT: (Whoops, should've watched further forward in the video lol.) Also, great job.

I just don't get it. How the hell do I keep coming across payday videos that directly contradict each other. People praise stealth and then I come across this video. My god, back on payday 2, people hated and hated and hated it. Finally they make it easier without fundamentally breaking its challenge and then I come across your video. Look, I get it, I understand your mentality. Hell I loved payday 2 stealth. But Payday 3 stealth is perfectly balanced. I found that on Payday 2, if you wanted to chill and blast music, you could never hear or anticipate guards coming round corners and don't forget civvies and guards instantly detecting you from miles away occasionally. In Payday 3, not only does it allow skilled players a payoff for walking right into a guard as they come round the corner, giving you the chance to still remain undetected no matter how goofy it looked. But also I hear no complaints with the system due to its ease, and even then those people still fail stealth quite a bit all without much complaint other than for their skills with stealthing. So the verdict: No complaints, still keeps the fundamental challenge and design of stealth intact over from payday 2, and it has allowed skilled players to avoid headache induced restarts just because the game decided that the guard should instant detect you from miles away. - Nothing needs to change about stealth. And well... as this video demonstrates... for the few people (myself included) who can handle themselves to the point if real life was payday 3 we could sneak into Area 51... We can always just add challenges on top of the existing mechanics for a more difficult experience if needed. - Maybe no HUD if they add it or you mod it. (If thats a mod) Low FOV is always another one, if you care more about the challenge. No marking guards, so no assistance other than your own sight. I overall get your sentiment. About making the difficulty of stealth harder. But it shouldn't change. Not in the slightest.

I just personally feel like stealth is too easy. Not for Payday 3, but for the overkill difficulty. I'm all for adding my own challenge on top of it, hence the video, but I just wish there was a way to make it harder in game. Like an option to enable all of the stealth modifiers at once. I dont remember exactly what I said at the end, but I do agree that stealth shouldn't change. Or at least the base difficulty we have shouldn't. But it would be nice to see an option in game to make it harder.

I don't think you need to grab an employee for no rest for the wicked, all it does is send the list of codes onto a computer, there is an online code guesser for payday 3 where you can just check, but too many code attempts can bring an employee to check out the pad and then they go back to the offices and don't do anything else, I don't know if they can go back for further attempts.

for dirty ice, you dont need to go near the manager, just the documents in the safe and the phone. the rare stone can also give you a good amount of cash for the percentage, you just need a hostage to press the button on the managers desk. you can also vault the truck in the alley by masking up there, and cutting open the windows for an easy entry to save time.

I always thought you needed to get close to the manager to trigger the workshop. Good to know! I also didn't think that the rare stone would give percentage. I dont even think I considered it when I routed this heist. I'll have to look into it next time I run this.

i played with my friend gold and sharke map our favorite map xd we tried without masking literally restarting and restarting took long then when we had the bags without masking well my game froze and rip the run like WTF idk why they cant fix it LOL

I could try, but I dont think that Dirty Ice would be possible. Like I said in that section, the front room is basically off limits for me. If Dirty Ice is possible, then I think I could do it. The only issue would be remembering where all the loot is on Rock the Cradle as I tend to miss 1 or 2 bags somehow.

@@boop1987 this is true, i think you could maybe give yourself a lifeline like allowing only a certain amount of grifter skills on dirty ice just so it’s actually possible. another good rule to add to the run could also be making it against the rules to be spotted in private areas, and if you are spotted in a private area you have to leave and remake the lobby so the rng resets

@@prxsidxntial That would probably have to be the way I do it. In terms of getting spotted, I think that could be interesting, but it'd also be frustrating as it isnt exactly an uncommon thing in most heists. I could give it a try though. Might have to after I'm done with Boys in Blue.

hardest possible challenge would be ovkab stealth no detection pacifist no pagers no skills melee only no ecm and that would probably need like a TAS with glitches

​​@@DOOF1All of the would be doable, except for potentially no detection. That would depend on what you count as being 'detected'. If its just you cant be caught (like in a private area and get escorted out), then I think it could be done without TAS. (Also yes, I do need a better mic. I'm sure I'll get a better one at some point.)
