@raherql4 жыл бұрын
1. Pans: What's happening here is that the nicer pan is much better at heat retention, probably because they've used a bit more metal in its construction. That means that it's going to heat up more slowly and also cool down more slowly. The more expensive, nonstick pan is thinner material and it doesn't hold heat very well but it will get hotter much faster while it's over the fire. That's why it got so smokey where the other pan didn't, and it's also why you burned your second stake and got that little puff of flame. To fix that problem if you're using the thinner pan you'll need to manually control your cooking temperature. For example, if you're still cooking a steak on it, try getting the pan hot then rapidly searing both sides of the steak (maybe a minute per side), then lowering the heat to a medium flame and giving that steak an extra minute or two per side until it reaches medium-rare. 2. Electric Knives These knives are typically used for slicing things that are difficult or awkward to cut through with regular, less-than-completely-sharp blades. Like... Ever try to cut through a tomato with a knife that isn't very sharp? An electric knife is perfect for that job. The most frequent use of an electric knife is cutting through cooked meat, where you want a very clean, pretty cut that shows off the roast well and you don't want to spend a lot of effort with a regular blade getting it to look right. The sawing motion of these knives and their serrated blades make it easy to transition from cutting awkward, soft things to also cutting very hard things that fall apart easily like small PVC pipes or blocks of wood. However, they're still not meant for that and while I would consider it very impressive for an electric knife to slice cleanly through a frozen turkey, I certainly wouldn't expect it. 3. Can Openers That first one has that handy-dandy magnet. Use that to lift up the lid of the cans you've opened, so you can avoid messy spillage. :) 4. Juicers Yep. You hit the nail on the head with this one. The first juicer is much better-made, will last longer, extracts more juice, and gets you a darker and more nutritious product (filter it if you want it to look like the second juice). The second juicer is basically a child's toy, and will likely break after a few uses. 5. Pancake Pans This one is interesting. The first pancake pan seems like a decent multi-tasker (you can do fried eggs in there, or if you're making something like McMuffins you can cook little scrambled egg patties with cheese in there, or even assemble sausage-egg-cheese fillings), and I agree--the non-stick coating looks like a really nice one. More importantly, the fact that it heats up slowly and you had a little trouble getting color on those pancakes is a sign that the pan is a little heavier and retains heat well. That's very, very useful to a cook because it means that you don't have to adjust your flame very often and once you get the pan to a good temperature you can keep it there without babysitting it. The second pan apparently has no nonstick coating whatsoever, and given the apparent quality of construction I would question how heat-resistant the pan itself is. But, provided that it doesn't just fall apart, there are a few possible steps you can take to mitigate the immense suckitude of that piece of kitchen equipment. First, the same heat retention problem as the first low-rated pan applies here, so you'll definitely want to keep a low or medium-low flame on this pan, and possibly move it fairly frequently to keep the heat dispersal even on the product. Second, I would try seasoning the pan, like you would with a cast iron skillet (that means coating it in oil or lard, then heating it up, taking it off the fire, and letting it sit till cool, then wiping off the excess grease and not washing it). Then I would still use a thorough coating of butter or oil on the pan whenever I cooked anything in it. Is it more trouble than it's worth? Most definitely. Could you still get it to work with time and effort? Probably. Just looking at it I would probably say two stars, unless it falls apart after a few uses.

Non-stick pans are all different depending on the material they are made from, but almost all non stick pans have to be cooked on low to medium heat. So check directions before using any new nonstick pan. Cause some also direct not to use oil or butter cause it can ruin the layer of natural non-stick surfaces. By the way this was not ment to poke fun, or be disrespectful in anyway! I absolutely love you, and enjoy every video you make. I think for the can opener, for the 1 star... you didn’t had to hold it but to just let it do it’s work. And for the frying pan the 5 star had a kinda taller wall while the 1 star had a lower wall, so the 1 star had a higher tendency to overspill if you were to tilt it which actually happened. I think you could have try to place your camera on the top if that’s is even possible or from a higher ground.

oh honey you have the flame on way to high! once the pan is heated you need to turn it down to a medium flame, Personally I prefer a cast iron skillet to make steaks, so I can slip it into the oven to finish. The first steak is a bit thicker so it cooked to a nice medium rare, where as your 2nd was thinner so using the exact same times lead it to be cooked to a well done state. You always need to adjust your cook times for the quality & thickness of the meat.

imightbetash Yeah but he even said it was his own fault. He gave more reasons why he didn’t like the 1 star pan

The handheld can opener you don’t have to hold it, and the magnetic thing for the plug in can opener you attach it do the top of the can opener so the magnet will hold the can so you don’t have to hold it (if that makes any since)

I can't be the only one who was going METAL ON NONSTICK NOOOOO Also, you need a specific type of fire extinguisher for oil fires, or it can have the opposite effect and make it worse. Be ready with a pan lid and/or salt or baking SODA (to smother the flames) next time.

Maybe you should buy another cam or just use your phone to give an eyebird angle instead of trying to tilt your pan or your plate to the camera. I’ve been watching you for a long time and everytime you’re doing it I’m just.... it’s gonna be a mess boi😂

For the orange juicer, you should stick with using oranges or citrus fruit, as Apples and other fruits similar like pears, etc. juice in a different way but definitely not by squeezing. I think it deserves another trial..
