4:16 with the taller towers I'd reckon it needs the longer Gorgon shocks. I'd think so in general as that's lowering it without, but even more so since you're turning it into a MT.
@DoRCАй бұрын
Yeah it's a trade-off. The lower shocks will decrease body roll as the suspension will top out sooner but you are losing down travel. Overall it seems to handle really well with them but the Gorgon sharks probably would be better.

@DoRCАй бұрын
Yeah I put the silly music in there because I just couldn't take that bashing session seriously. It does really good when it's dry out but with that much power just touching the throttle on wet grass leads to nothing but spinning.

Yo man, you made a Vogon! I was gonna say Gorteks, but that's what they make raincoats out of. You know Vogons from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. You could put "Don't Panic" and have the number be 42 on it. I know it's kinda nerdy, but it's fun too. You made something really cool. While I'm thinking about it, maybe if you get bored go through that bag of screws and get a little organization goin' on. Great video! I really enjoyed it.

Picked up a gorgon on a whim didnt need one thats for sure and it surprised the crap out of me its very stable swapped in a 4600kv ez run and 10bl120g2 plenty of power on 2s and loads of fun it handles so much better than my sons bigfoot aka traxxas stampede it really shows how old the stampede is i think the main difference is the motor in front of the axle instead of behind on the traxxas it really settles down the truck flies better handles better nose stays down unless you really want it up... didnt exspect it to be so much fun even comparing it to my 4s granite.. the gorgon makes me smile more
@DoRC14 күн бұрын
I agree. This modern platform has some new sauce in it that makes it a lot more stable than the older two wheel drive stuff. Obviously it's still harder to drive then four wheel drive but not nearly as hard as they used to be
@jasonwolfe1305Ай бұрын
I had this same idea but with the long wheelbase version from the Fury in the hopes that it would keep the front end down a bit more and have more stability on high traction surfaces.

I'm not sure you'd be able to get the body to fit on the long wheelbase version but even this short wheelbase version is very stable. You can get it to wheelie but it's Not super easy.

Ok Do RC last question hopefully 😂 Do all of the new three arrmas have the same servo saver in them? I hear people saying that you must upgrade the s.s on the Gorgon, and I'm wondering if it is different or is it because of the bigger tires on the Gorgon.

@EJ-74Ай бұрын
@@stp440 Except the spur and drive shafts are from RCAWD not a Arrma product, They seem to be a bit better than the stock parts. I love seeing these conversion builds…
@stp440Ай бұрын
@DoRC I'm hoping to squeeze into a box stock type of class even though I'll be substituting the motor and esc from a losi 22s and wheelie bar from... well... umm... whatever I can get to fit. Im also limited by how wide the rear track width is so I've been eyeing the proline 56 and 66 f100 short course bodies because they seem to be the only ones I've found that the rear drag slicks don't rub and thry match the style of the arrma outcast which is awesome. I'd love to see arrma make a drag fury eventually so I can be 100% box stock legal (hint hint)
@DoRCАй бұрын
@@stp440 That would be really sweet. I'm not sure if the design of the chassis would really allow it to be competitive but it would be fun.
@stp440Ай бұрын
@DoRC I actually have high hopes for this chassis for several reasons. The axle angle is almost parallel to the ground at my desired rear ride height, The antiquat percentage is almost perfect and I haven't touched the suspension other than removing the long spacer from the rear springs yet with my race tires and wheels on the ride heights are almost dead on. Only time will tell though, it might be slow in the end but there's something about building something no one else has tried that I love.
