Clarity of Thought Process Just a query. From the screenshot, do we assume that all holdings including Bonds Gold Equity F&O are all lying in the Brokers account? What if the Broker goes bust? Doest this not negate the security that Sahil is trying to balance between bonds and Trading?

Here brokers are regulated by SEBI and are required to segregate client funds from their own. If a broker goes bust, your holdings are still in your demat account, which is separate from the broker's assets.

2:26 i am surprised that he parks his money in bonds such as G-Secs. Reason being, that even though they have sovereign guarantees and a AAA rating against default, they still face immense interest rate risks. Govt Bonds are only safe if held till maturity. Their face value in the secondary market can fluctuate drastically. For those that wish to understand how dangerous this can be, study the collapse of SVB bank in the US in 2023. They had parked all their money in Government bonds. The bonds lost a lot of face value as interest rates rose, and the bank was unable to redeem the invested value, as people started withdrawing their savings, this lead to a complete collapse I'll reiterate..the bonds didn't fail..they were sovereign bonds. It's just that they lost their face value..hence if SVB were to sell them in the secondary market..they would have to suffer immense losses. 24:00 Edit: He answered this query here. His logic is very sound and good. Great job by him
