I make an Industrial Style Wall Coat Rack using Tow Hooks and Rebar.

In this video, I make an Industrial Style Wall Coat Rack using Tow Hooks and a Rebar rod to give it a real industrial decor look.
It was a good MIG welding project for me, I love the old-style rustic industrial decor.
The wide steel plate is 3mm thick, 550mm long, and 75mm wide.
The other steel plate is 6mm thick, 520mm long, and 50mm wide.
The big Rebar is 20mm rebar and the small rebar is 12mm
The main tools used were welding Magnets, a MIG welder, angle grinder, locking Pliers, and a Drill.
Always use all the correct safety gear, and use your tools safely, I am not a good role model for this.

Really like your rebar ideas! We recently built a new garage to house my car collection, and plan to build most of the shop cabinet door hardware, man door hardware/latches, display hangers, and coat hooks using your style of ironwork (will not do exact copies, these are uniquely yours). Additionally we have nickel plated some of our creations, and also used some brass, bronze, or copper fitting like the mounting screws for example. Gun blueing fluid makes a great finish if you want something darker, and for exterior use we plan to just let them rust, and maybe clear coat in the future! You have been an amazing inspiration of ideas, keep it up, thanks!

That is what I used on the rebar lettering on the back of my workbench, here is the link to that video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHKQqJ5sZ7-ans0 I try not to comment on finishes, As what climate you are in, is it inside-outside, lots of rain, ice, do you want long term and rarely touch, or a wax with a wipe over every year.
