I rarely comment on videos, but i have to say Omar that no matter how completely crap i might feel, your videos and your goofy behaviour always bring a smile to my face. Making people happy and smile is a great gift. Thank you.

My interest in this topic began and ended with the fact, you Omar were doing the video. You convinced me that I never want to be an event photographer/videographer at the same time. As someone else suggested, how about a 2nd person to do the video. Too much multitasking for me, but very happy that it works for you

I also use the little claws with the quarter inch to hold the mini cam onto my light stands to let it run on the sides of the dance floor

I usually go for an L-Mount bracket screwed to the bottom 1/4 thread and mount an Insta360 X3. I can film both myself as well as everything around me. By far my favorite setup although having everything in a cage isn’t a bad idea either.

Just recently I started to record with my phone while I photograph with the D780. I bought an adapter which allows me to mount the phone on the camera´s hot shoe. I can swivel it to record vertical or horizontally. It also has a cold shoe, so I can mount a mic there.

That Z8/Z6iii dual rig is WILD! 😂 Buuut, it WORKS! -- I recently saw a photog who mounted the Insta360 X3 (or X4) to the hot shoe (tho if you have a cage, use the cold shoe) & That's definitely an option...tho not too sure how much ppl really want 360° footage vs "normal" video. I've been taking it more seriously to do BTS/video (read: content creation) for my events/weddings & been searching for interesting solutions. I have the X3 & attachments, so might give it a whirl...also have GoPros to test it out.

I have a suggestion for the channel. ¿Could you make a video using Fuji X lenses on Nikon Z bodies? I want to know how the adapter works and how the image results mixing Fuji and Nikon. Niji or maybe Fukon. The Boryoza FX - Z AF adapter intrigues me and i can't find any review in KZbin, and the "Boryoza" brand doesn't even have a webpage... So I need a review by someone I can trust. And I'm not the only one

This is a very interesting idea.... I do Dance event photography and videography. However the big issue I have always been suffering from is I can only hold one camera. So usually I stick the video camera on a tripod and abandon it essentially while I do the photos. This means I get great photos but pretty awful videos. I do wonder though if you combined this with say a manfrotto mono pod, one of the ones with the little ball foot on the bottom. this would make it less mobile but it would help with the weight and make the video even better. I do tend to shoot with a vertical grip though for photos.. I imagine there would be no way to have a photo setup that allows for the vertical photos while leaving the video camera where it is in a setup like this. Curious though Z6II for photos, small rig, Z5 with a wide lens for the video, manfrotto mono pod to help with the weight and further stabilize the footage. ... I would hurt the mobility a little but I would gain more dynamic videos that will be better for people. 24-70 on the Z6II for photos and 14-30 on the Z5 to have wide angle video, I usually also have a external mic so there would be the receiver for that on the video camera too what do you think of that idea? worth experimenting? The only kit I dont currently own is the small rig thing to attach everything together
@ogonzilla3 ай бұрын
Send me a pic on insta if you make it. Can't visualize the monopod idea. @ogonzilla
@gregmosher42873 ай бұрын
@@ogonzilla basically you would have the monopod on the bottom, a mount of some sort, so maybe it would be a tripod head that can handle the weight. I have a video head designed for bigger video cameras so I would probably use that. Then at least how I envisioned it you would attach the upside down camera to the video head. then attach the photography camera to the upside down camera just like you did. In the end you would have quite the funky looking mess but I dunno maybe it would work. That said it would not be a agile setup, it would be best for a situation where you are seated for like I mentioned something like Dance. For me I don't know if I'll be building this but its fun to think about. I do like moving around though for dance events and getting more dynamic shots from the floor itself... this would be totally impossible with this setup.

I would connect with an arca plate with a ball head so that I can release the weight, by just releasing the ball head with the bottom camera. So when only photo is necessary quickly release it from the bottom arca swiss plate and use it as a single camera. But Omar has done an amazing job❤❤❤.

This could not have come in at a better time than this Omar!! Have been a big fan of your youtube channel for some time and learnt a ton from you. One issue i am having with shooting video and photo at the same time is flash from photo showing up as flickering in my video and haven’t figured out how to get rid of it. Btw just so happened that i had all the parts needed to rig up 2 mirrorless cameras so playing around with it.

Why do you state the action cam is much worse than the pocket 3? I thought the action cam (at least the 5) was terrific. Reviewers said the key reason to prefer the pocket 3 is it's easier to do selfies (which clearly you are not ?). ??? Love your videos! Long time subscriber!

Oh this is great. Just think. A Z8 or ANY camera for photography up top, with a Panasonic S9 for video underneath with the Sigma 16-28 F/2.8 or the Lumix 20-60 kit lens basis focal length requirements. Just set the thing to 6K Open Gate, and forget about it. Or if you want something even smaller, the Fuji X-M5 will do great. Open Gate is of great use here because you can cut vertical and horizontal from the same frame.
@ufukkiblat3 ай бұрын
Workflow, it’s simpler to use the same system, same color, same navigation, etc. fuji X-M5 doesn’t even have IBIS and their auto focus is not reliable for videos. Open gate APSC is still cropped and smaller than FF, FF is great for low light and indoor shooting.
