Mary is the author of two memoirs about her experience being married to a psychopath. The first is ‘The Bigamist - the true story of a husband’s ultimate betrayal’ is about her six year relationship with Will Jordan, a bigamist and con man who actively impregnates women to rip them off for money (published in 2008). The second is ‘The Psychopath: A True Story’ which details her recovery (physically, mentally, emotionally and financially) after being freed from his coercive control, the work she had done to try and protect future victims from the clutches of her ex and people like him, as well as what he did after being deported from UK jail back to the USA. It also covers some of the techniques that psychopaths use to manipulate people (from gaslighting/love bombing, to control dramas/language patters etc), as well as what makes people vulnerable to them in the first place.
Mary is a full-time author, speaker and writing coach from Edinburgh, Scotland (UK). She speaks on surviving adversity as well as advocating for better understanding of psychopathy. I have an ex in prison for triple homicide. I definitely believe he has a lot of psychopathic traits because he did some of these similar things to me and our children.

Been through this, drugging me with prescription drugs & lots of alcohol until I was hospitalized with a Traumatic brain injury, I then got an above average apartment and blocked from all ways of contact to him. He then moved onto his new victim. Still recovering from the TBI today, 2 years later.

@@alexandereisen3486 bc he wasn't there for them and used their existence to take money from their mother. The children will be horribly psychologically damaged from this experience.

Bit click baity. Some more detail and info on this would have been good. All we can tell from this is that he is a liar and a cheater and a player. The only other thing we know is that he scored full marks on a psychopath test that she took on his behalf. After the marriage had ended. I'm not saying he wasn't a psychopath but some finer details on his day to day behaviour would have been nice.

But she did say that he was loving and kind towards her. There wasn't anything noticeable until his "other" wife talked to this woman about her family and having children with so many others. He put on this image that everything is good but was doing things behind her back. No guilty conscience about his immoral actions.

I had exactly the same experience as you with the gender roles reversed. My ex-wife did exactly the same things as your ex-husband, or things that were identical in essence, e.g., in my case my wife to my son to the Third World country from which she was and claimed he was sick, she had been physically attacked and needed medical care etc., so that in a country with no N.H.S., I had to send huge sums. Terrible experience. Not free of it or the scarring to my personality to this day.
