I live for the ridiculous and stupidly hilarious things. The first time I saw this sport I laughed my ass off but I seriously didn't think anything of those people other than "what a bunch of legends". I've seen recently people in some place in the world who have a contest where they let frogs out and touch their bums so that they jump. And then they race frogs like that and try to jump them through a finish line. It's a serious thing, no one's fucking around and laughing, they're all fully invested in the suspense and cheering for the outcome, the whole community comes together to participate in this, most people have their own frog, etc. They literally found a purpose in that ridiculous, absurd activity and I had nothing but outmost respect for them while everyone in the comments were laughing and making fun of them. To me, these are the type of people that actually live life to the fullest and enjoy the ride - absolute legends. Sorry for a long and weird reply lol

Alisa - what a wonderful person. God bless her and her attitude, man. So cool to see someone just going for it and not caring what other people think, she's definitely the one winning. And equally cool to see Cody going all in and actually trying in this video instead of making fun of it! Well done!!

as a former member of my high school's marching band, i can say that these stepping techniques are not too out of the ordinary for marching bands and color guards, and since marching band is a sport basically centered around taking walking and breathing to a professional level, i can totally see how this is a real sport.

I love all of your videos, but this in particular has a special place in my heart. The sheer amount of humbling and realization of "this is not what i thought it was" is so enlightning and i have so much respect for it. Thank you for continuing to be open minded with different hobbies/communities and giving them a platform. I actually think this is a very cute and affordable way for people to find a hobby that caters to an equstrian interest without the INSANE amount of economy that goes into the hobby with actual horses. Horseriding is EXTREMELY expensive, so i cant help but get a very heartwarming feeling about hobbyhorsing for people who dont have the possibility or interest in spending that much money :'))

As a horse girl who used to do this with and without a hobby horse, as in prance around and jump over things constantly. It's super nostalgic and wholesome to see this becoming more accepted even if it's not really in the USA. But thank you Cody for bringing awareness to just how exactly taxing this acceptably odd sport is. This and real horses are the main reasons why I lived an incredibly active and happy life when I was a kid, and still do. Many times at real horseshows, the kids would gather in the arenas and have our own little people competitions after the day was over, and we'd have insane amounts of fun. And it's actually branched out into creating opportunities for me later in life as I decided that since hobby horsing wasn't very accepted and becoming a top professional in the real horse industry is mostly unrealistic for non-nepo babies I took up track and hurdling in highschool, and I got good enough to earn a scholarship at the D2 level. I have been a 400 hurdler for nearly 6 years now and have consistently been on the podium in my areas conference every year so far, and now I'm a senior wrapping it up.

I love this so much because he’s making it clear that even if someone thinks it’s goofy or dumb, it shouldn’t be outright insulted, because people just wanna enjoy shit, and they should be allowed to. I’ve always said that if I see something cringey, if the person is happy, I’ll never say anything. I value people’s happiness over my personal response of “oh cringe”. ❤❤❤

The heavy breathing and no bg music during the floor routine was seriously reminding me of that scene from P-Valley where you see a girl pole dancing and it looks effortless and then they cut to her with no music and she’s breathing super heavy. I unironically love that shit lol. It gives you more respect for stuff that people devalue as being stupid or easy but is actually a skill that requires talent and strength. So cool that Cody gave this a try
