To the question of why would they want to do this: a previous Buzzfeed employee came out and said she very much regretted the awkward content she filmed that was similar to this. She filmed a video telling her parents how/when she lost her virginity and that she thought it would be funny in the lead up and because of the company culture there she felt compelled to make content like that, but about five minutes in she started getting this sinking feeling. I'm not sure if it's the same for these people as I don't think they're employed directly by Jubilee and are more just getting paid for a singular shoot, but I thought it was an interesting anecdote to share.
