Thank you for your videos very informative I love them. I love how meticulous you are. I just bought my Gen 4 TRD off-road Tacoma. I too had the Gen 3 TRD off-road and I had a 2022 Tundra TRD pro. I love that truck however I didn't want to be a victim to the engine dilemma so I returned it September 13th 2024 and I got the Gen 4 Tacoma. I'm pretty happy with the Gen 4 it's definitely an upgrade for my gen 3 Tacoma which mine was a 2020. But in a few years I'll switch back to the new Gen tundras I just want Toyota to get their act together with QC for the tundras.
@mindofmission7 ай бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to measure all the differences, very informative. Please keep in mind that a 1” larger diameter tire only makes the truck 1/2” taller, as only half of that height is between the ground and the center of the hub. It is better to take any height measurement (overall, hood, bed, etc.) from the center of the hub. This eliminates the size of any tire or rim.

@@dinglebarrybonds heck yes. I’d love a limited, platinum, or 1794 second gen crew max. I have a 2008 5.7L sequoia Sr4 premium (JBL and leather) that is RWD. I bought it summer 2012, with 83k miles. Just hit 221k miles. It runs like new. Interior looks amazing even though we have four children we raised in it and I use it for Lowe’s runs. I’ve had trash, lumber, 80 bags of mulch - still looks great. Basically the Only things I’ve had to do besides tires/oil/brakes: Serpentine belt twice (routine maintenance every 80-100k miles) Ac servo and ac blower motor (the part that rotates the ac vent directions is the servo. It went out at 218,000 miles so it was not a failure. It just met the end of its life cycle at 16 years old. Dealer wanted $2000. I did it for the cost of the part and dozens of KZbin videos.) Front door speakers. I have Toyota JBL. The front door speakers disintegrated from being so old so I replaced them at 215,000 miles. Replaced the windshield…by force. Haha. When I Bought it, it came with a tiny hairline crack about half an inch. It was fine until about 15-2016. We got a bad ice storm. The next morning the sun heated the inside of my truck before the outside was able to melt the ice off. It ended up cracking all the way across and the. Last fall an object smacked my windshield on the hwy, nearer vehicle was about quarter mile ahead of me. Lift gate handle is a known issue for all second gen sequoia. It’s made from like a rubbery material and melts in the sun. So I replaced that around 200,000 miles. Replaced driver head rest because the original was peeling probably due to my short hair and wear a hat that scraped it so much. Headlamps got replaced at 219k miles - had resurfaced them a few times. I installed a pioneer 9” floating touch screen that does Apple wireless and android wireless (and wired). Best decision ever. Makes road trips amazing. I had a shop remove the muffler and straight pipe it after the cats. Sounds amazing but being an SUV the interior does hum a lot now so I may reverse my decision haha. Best tires I’ve had a bf Goodrich ko2. Two I installed in 2017 have over 50k miles on them and it’s just now time to replace them. (Only suburb and highway driving - no dirt or off-road). Long live the second gen!
