Yes! 2K clear is the worst! Huge headache!

2k clear is a higher solids clear. once that cures it will be there and not peel so tou ha e to make sure tou do a good job prepping

Thats why i prefer ceramic coating over clear coat

Ceramic will do this same thing if you don't prep it correctly.

Has that problem happened before using that product? I use the “Headlight Restoration Pro”’s system. We polish the headlight then we use Maguires headlight sealant. I am always looking to improve products and have not had a chance to use the product yet.

It can, as I said, its an application issue not a product issue. You must apply a thick, even coat with no missed spots, otherwise this can happen. Same with maguires, if you don't apply enough, it will have some issues down the road. Thats the beauty of this product, no need to spend time polishing.

Would this technique be improved by inserting compounding & polishing between the sanding and application of the clear coat?

No, the clear coat is designed for application after 600 only. Otherwise you'll have issues.
