@@NoQualmsTheArtist Some possible alternatives: RBass - The bass enhancer in iZotope Ozone 10 Advanced MV2 - I don't know any alternative to this and for me this is the only presumably non-replacable plug-in on their catalog, FabFilter Pro-MB might be a potential candidate though MaxxVolume - Again, the maximizer of Ozone 10 Advanced

Interesting times indeed. First and foremost, nice job on the revision. This is an example of how to do something like that tastefully. No histrionics. =] Given what happened in the last 24 hours, I would suggest the following: 1) Give it another 24 hours for the emotions to settle down. 2) Assess and reassess what really matters and act accordingly. If you want to express grievances, make it clear as to what and why that is and avoid excessive emotions and other histrionics.

Thanks for explaining how plug ins really work, so many people have no clue that you cannot own software, you simply rent it until you decide to no longer update ir or use it or the developer chooses to stop supporting it.

No more Waves for me... And for what I saw in the "Important Message from Waves" email, they are allowing people that owns plugins to keep them, at least that is fare From their email "What about the plugins I already own? No worries. You continue to own your plugins, at the latest version you bought or to which you updated." Thanks for the R-Bass re-review!

Now that they've gone subscription, it doesn't matter to me if their plugins are good or not. Especially after I've spent hundreds of dollars on plugins with them over the years and now I won't even be able to get update plans for what I've purchased.

I hear this a lot, but, I am not understanding. I have ALL (mostly all) of the Waves plugins and I just updated my bundles. No issues. What is everyone talking about. I have been out of the audio business since The Vid-19 but just opened a studio so would love to know what the issues are if you have the time. Thanks

I understand charging for updates. They have to put work in to keeping it updated. I feel like its the same as finishing a mix for someone and then the artist coming back to you expecting a new version for Apple 3D audio thing for free. I don’t mind paying for updates but I hate subscription.

When they advertised at $29, Waves should have made it clear that it might possibly last only for your present system level. To not state this specifically, is tantamount to miss-selling and I believe is fraud in some countries. That's why I got caught out in on a mixing session years ago when almost every Waves plug-in disappeared. And since then I never touch them. The likes of more hones companies, keep the newer versions available for free! So don't become over-dependent on Waves subscription, 'cos one day they'll ask for more money.....

"Why are you using such a terrible kick drum?" Fucking... it's a fine kick drum! Just happens to be a live one. Not some oversized already-processed edm library sample. Most of these people probably have never heard an actual kick drum before.

One thing I find interesting is that you are selecting the kick harmonics with different audible pitches, without any reference to what pitch you are accentuating and is it in the key of the song. I think this type of adjustment should be done at least while monitoring the bass to hear which harmonics work best with the bass.
