It's funny when I saw that flog of yours delivering to the Range I thought I will pop in there and see what they have as I need a few items when I'm in Rhyl in a couple of weeks, but now I won't be using them.

The problem is people are queuing up to take offence these days. Rule of thumb with social media imo is do not say something you would shout across the room. Problem is where you can deny saying something, if it's on film you're snookered. Sadly it's not wise to get involved these days...not nice, but saves your 'arris and job.

Luke, People would have contacted you personally if they were not happy, But now there are so many just out there will contact the company where a simple message to you could have sorted it out, Today the problem is the way they Run the collection and Delivery Sustem which is Allways the Bottle Neck in the Same companies 😡 Some are Good at it and Are Efficient ,and The Bad Allways Keeping A Hgv waiting for 3 hours is Just Nomal for them, And they Don't Like it when it is out in the Open😮, This Job is Getting worse and is posted by other Drivers Some more to the point Than you, People need to work together and Someone in the office needs to get off their Backside and Look at why they Keep Getting it Wrong 😮, problem of Refusing Delivery's is a Huge cost and waste of fuel usually only a 10 minute job ,Years ago it would have been called Lazy, the people who answer the phone Don't realise the impact of another 120 mile round Trip by Refusing the Drop and Killing the Planet 😢

I think it is hard for all lorry drivers to have the opportunity to express frustrations (which all workers do) because of the isolation of the job as you are alone with own thoughts for so long without anyone to be able to decompress with. From my memory of watching the clip that is exactly what I saw an individual expressing their frustration, and in the context of you having shifted your rest period to be able to meet the delivery time requirements . You could have actually said no, but you did not and as a result the delivery was made and the company in question benefited from having that stock available to sell. Harry and Sons and their employees are providing a service at a time when there remains a shortage of drivers and your content is targeted a portraying the realities of the job whilst encouraging good practices within the profession and industry. Whilst they might disagree with the way you expressed it, you have provided feedback about your experience of their company which they should take on board. They are well within their right for security reasons to request no footage of non public areas but also need to consider what can be seen from public footpaths. Whenever I purchase things, the company’s approach to how they treat their staff and those within the supply chain does have an impact on whether I shop there. No drivers no deliveries - no sales. Equally you are representing your firm and therefore you to need to be mindful of this. Chin up, keep moving forward and well done Harry and Sons for your approach.

Hi Luke, you so remind me of me, ive been where you are moretimes than i care to think about, albeit for different reasons, you may or may not know that iv'e been in driver training for 33 years, and have had more then my share of complaints from the various companies that iv'e worked for, and have also felt crap for days afterwards, but that shows that you care, which equally shows what a great guy you are, put it behind you bud, look forwards and not back, hope all goes well with the move all the best to you and your family !

At the end of the day people aren’t telepathic If you say you don’t care if you get banned yet your bluffing, people won’t take it that way. Always quickly apologise & in people’s sites always ask for permission to film, but in reality probably just except any big customer won’t allow filming,, it’s private land. Luke you want to get a T-bar for straps, get them super tight, also all timber should be touching ether side where the top of the strap goes over to form a pyramid. Always get timber touching on the top stacks & hassle FLT drivers to do it properly & assist them by standing at an angle they can’t see.....IE from the side, or climb on top if allowed to have a look Home made T-bars are the best. Not the ones sold online.

As much as I do agree that those particular comments weren't really that smart, we all say things we don't mean sometimes. Hauliers do need to start standing up to these companies and their pathetic rules, however. End of the day if hauliers refuse to transport for these companies, they won't have anyone to move their stuff. I know it's a rough money driven world but things don't change unless we make them. i used to deliver steel and a certain load of oiled round bar used to aloows come loose, i was for ever stopping to re tight them up, plus all in bundles so used to slip out from the back too, nightmare when going up steep bumpy roads

Good video luke. Thats not tight. I have loaded there many times and i used a 2 inch square hardwood lever to really put some tension on. Not sure does the ratchets any good but never had a problem in all the years.

Mate load and restraint i did back in the early 90's when I was in the RAF . I need an HGV 2 or LGV as it is now to drive Fire Engines and as you can imagine not exactly any need for securing loads as you do . Back then we used rope mostly and carters hitch , I remember the name but not how to do it . We practiced tying of various loads and some times we even got strops . Of cause as a driver we have to make sure everything is secure and not likely to fall off and of cause it's road legal plus operational as well . Example the pump the deliveries and sirens and lights etc . These days I only haul lots of water and foam and dry powder for Firefighting purposes and all the equipment in the lockers that we use . My job is very simple compared to yours mate .

I'm gonna take a different angle here, since I don't know your particular circumstances I'll speak in general terms about this issue which has bothered me for a long time. First of all I've worked at stockyards and goods terminals so I know how badly some of them treat Truckers and trucking companies, also goods. Many of the places who ban drivers and or their companies for speaking out about their antics are also the ones treating Truckers like crap in the first place by making trucks wait longer than needed, cluttering up their yards or parking forklifts in the way to piss off drivers, playing football with small packages before putting them on pallets etc. etc. Those people and companies are the ones who should be banned, fired and looked down on, not the Truckers and trucking companies who make their transports, trust me, there's plenty of bad transport companies and drivers that shouldn't even be allowed on the roads as well but that's a different matter, all of it should be called out by the serious Truckers and trucking companies though, if not directly then at least indirectly otherwise non of it will get solved because politicians, unions and other interest groups will never solve the problems, there's way too much money and power to be gained in keeping the industry badly managed while still making a lot of money with useless mandatory courses every five minutes and inflexible rules and laws only serious companies follow. All of it needs to be called out for the betterment of the industry in general and quality of life for the serious hard working people in it in particular. Well that's my brutally honest opinion on the matter, take it for what it's worth, without Truckers you will have nothing, you won't even survive!

Even if its just a few lbs hear and there Luke it all adds up for the weight loss. I'm down 25kg from the start of the year with a few ups and downs along the way, strength training and my own made keto diet have really made this possible without much fuss and the strength training is good for the soul, you should give it go since drivers regulations can mean you're off 4 days at a time

We all make mistakes and regret what we sometimes say in haste , you did what you did because only you know the exact story that faced you ,if you hadn't intervene and heard later something bad had happened you would feel terrible , just apologise , keep your head down and move on friend , honest videos takes a lot for that ,safe trucking .

I think you went yourself in the last video mate. Possibly very stressed out because of the move? The trouble is that these days, companies are so concerned with their image and social media policies are crazy strict! I really hope you don't lose your job at Harry's, it's great work for the vlogs and you seem really happy with them. It would be better for everyone involved if instead of just banning you, these companies engage with drivers and try to understand why these comments were made. By all means if they aren't happy they can request the video be taken down but engage with drivers to improve the industry for everyone. Thanks for all your hard work and best of luck for the move.

I actually think it's very childish of that company. how many drivers are there who complain about company's and you don't hear anything about it at all.... oooh thats because they don't have a youtube channel, so nothing can be said about it. As a flogger you have to be so carefull off what you say, because you see how other companies can cost you your job. I understand that you received a warning from your boss, this could have cost them a customer. Keep doing your thing Luke you're a great guy👍👍👍

As a trucker for FedEx I understand your frustration at the comments. Believe me there are some absolutely horrible people who think they have a god forgiven right to pull you about certain rules that they think you have to adhere too, the truth is they think of you as their underling and it’s them that need to realise without trucker then they wouldn’t be in a job. It’s basically a chain of command and some take it to the extreme. Good luck with the house move and it’s another stressful job moving so try and chill my friend

This is no reflection on any lorry driver that does the job but I have managed to lose a lot of weight since I retired. I think it's because the job is normally very sedimentary, with long periods sitting on your arse, so to speak and even though I used to occasionally exercise, I still pilled on the pounds. I have lost some 3 stone and am now down to near my target weight and I still eat what I want. When I was on the job the job I was pre-diabetic and within a couple of months before I retired, I was told I was diabetic but am now at normal blood sugar levels. I put it down to not sitting in a cab for long periods during the day and when at home being exhausted and not wanting to exercise as I should have.

I got banned from every quarry in Cornwall because of my attitude in the end I lost my job which if I had been would have caused me problems but because I was 63 at the time I just took early retirement after 40 years chasing white lines all over the country Europe and parts of North Africa
