When i was homeless in Oceanside i met another homeless girl living out of her car just like me! We made the most of it. We both worked nights then would sleep by the beach in our cars during the day. Thank God im no longer homeless...staying positive and prayed up def. Helps!

Pro tip: trade those automobiles in for a Prius if you want a proper sleep. The back seats fold down and is wider then a twin size bed. Did the same over a year, before domesticating myself in Asia.

Jake's been told to get a Prius in other videos of his. You guys are well-meaning, but it's easier said than done. For one thing, buying a Used Prius is a huge risk due to the battery/generator. Secondly, if it's newer than his Acura his car insurance will go up.

Great Channel, like your vlogs. You seem cool. I understand the frustration of not being able to find a place to use the bathroom. Word of advice, when I used to work 12+ hours doing Door Dash back in March when the money was crazy, I invested in a Luggable Loo Portable Toilet. It’s $20 and comes with a toilet seat. Line it with a garbage bag and pour kitty litter and you got yourself a portable bathroom. Saved me many times when restaurants didn’t allow me to use their bathrooms.

Get your windows tinted, even if it's illegal. Just roll down your windows when you see the cops while driving. And get one of those sun shades for the windshield. Put it up at night when your sleeping and during the day when you leave the vehicle, or when you need to change inside the car etc. People don't usually break into cars they can't see into....

Walmart’s are usually always safe, anywhere that’s open 24 hours, grocery stores, shopping centers. I’d suggest just taking a day to drive around the general area you want to be and look for parking lots that seem safe. Find several of these and try them out every night. You’ll find some are okay to sleep at and some you’ll get kicked out of but that’s just the process.

Jake you need some tint and a sun visor. All the money you make when I was there in LA they have tint shops that can tint your car windows for 50 or 75 bucks and a sun shield is only 15 bucks walmart that privacy will help soo much.

My wife and I lived in a Sentra (exactly like Sofia's) with our dog then up-sized to a Honda Odyssey while both working, we ended up saving a chunk of cash then bought a house in Los Angeles. We're more comfortable now but the car time really taught us a lot.

I’ve had to sleep in my car several times but the definite help has been from tinting every glass including front doors with 5% and a lighter 50% on windshield along with using a windshield sun screen roll up reflector to protect and keep the it cool and keep heat down inside
