Real Madrid look absolutely insane. How many teams are able to sign the best player in the world off the back of another champions league winning season. I don’t think that they’ll have an issue with fitting Kylian Mbappe in the team. I understand there’s some doubts over his potential fit and that’s because he’s at his best whenever he plays off of the left and he’s more comfortable there than he is when he plays through the middle as a center forward and he plays the same role as Vinicius Junior who’s the best left winger in the world and while he might have no choice but to play out of position since both of them are the best footballers in the world and they’re too good to be on the bench, he said it himself that he doesn’t care about what position he’s going to play. He’s more of an elite winger than a number 9, don’t forget that last season, half of his minutes came when he played as a striker for PSG and also the France national team at the EUROs, meaning that he knows that at Real Madrid, at times he’s going to have to accept playing as a striker even though you don’t want add a talented player of this ability only to utilize him out of position taking away some of thr things he does best regardless of how many goals he’ll score. Tactically, Mbappe is going to start as a striker and Vini will play on the left wing, but we know that Carlo Ancelotti is the type of manager who’s going to give his players freedom to express themselves in a sense that both of them are regularly going to be changing positions as one is going to switch from the left and the middle for most of the game and since they have to fit him in the team without changing their winning formula from last season. He’s a very good manager when it comes to bringing out the best in superstars and attackers usually have a good track record under him. We all saw how he was able to cope without Karim Benzema last season where he changed the formation didn’t use a natural striker and still won the champions league and while losing Toni Kroos is a massive blow for them, Real Madrid has more than enough talent in midfield to handle playing without him although his shoes are too big to fill, in Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde, they have 2 world class midfielders for the years to come, not to mention Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchuoameni since Luka Modric could leave very soon in combination with fitting Mbappe and Vini in the same team, Ancelotti always finds a way and as long as he’s their manager, I don’t see who’s stopping these guys from winning 3-4 champions league titles in the next 5 years, they’re just too good on paper. As I said before, he has to make it all click because only time will tell if Real Madrid’s superteam is going to be as good as we think they’ll be because one of the things that I know about how unpredictable football can be at times is that having great individuals doesn’t always correlate to having a great team as the only warning sign for them is that unless they’re able to make it work out, talent alone isn’t solely enough.

Ancelotti's got mad skills when it comes to adapting tactics. He doesn't lean on just one player to shape his game plan, which is always pragmatic. Whether Kroos is in or out, he'll keep tweaking his tactics to fit the squad's depth.

Am a Madrid fan, to be honest it's a really good team with more fire power upfront, but the holding midfielder that was in Kroos is irreplaceable and the back really gives me a little scare is not really packed if one is injured that means Ancelotti will be forced to put Tchuimeni there who literally to me is a defencive midfielder.

Couple of things here: 1. Not only is Ancelotti a great tactician, but he’s also an excellent man manager. He knows how to manage egos in that locker room. He knows how to tap into his players’ mindset and give them trust and confidence. He understands how to exploit his players’ strengths by putting them in the right position and trying different formations. This will be very important this season since they’ll be incorporating new players this season. 2. If in case it doesn’t work out with Mbappe, it won’t look bad on Madrid. Madrid was already winning UCLs before he arrived. At the end of the day, Madrid got him in a free transfer.

Arda is the Modric/Kroos type of midfielder in our squad but he did not come for 100 million euros for Carlo to put him in the 1st team , to me he is the number 1 player that brings me joy everytime i watch him play in a world dominated by physical players but Carlo is pragmatic in that regard , i hope Arda stays more than Carlo in Real Madrid or something happens that make Carlo consider him untouchable in the 1st team , we have a lot of redundant profiles in midfield and what makes me hopeful is that Arda fills a niche that utterly no one in midfield can fill outside of Modric

I believe RM will be up and down in first three to four months to find a form for having Mbappe and without Toni, after they found the solution, RM will be scary, if Barcelona or AM can take enough points to lead RM in that period , La Liga Champion will be Barcelona or AM. if not, La Liga will belong to RM.

-Will Real Madrid feel the loss of Kroos. - most likely. To lose a player of that calibre comes with downsides. If there was a manager to find a way look no further than Don Carlo. The closest player Madrid had to Kroos apart from Modric might actually be Tchouameni. Valverde is a different kinda player especially with his progressive carries. The Vini and Mbappe position thing i think is too overly focused. If you've watched Real Madrid since the CR7 times you know it's a team heavily left side focused. Whether it's CR7, Benzema, Marcelo, kroos, isco heck even Rodrygo fairly regularly drifts to the left in games. Formations are just on paper. Lastly, Mbappe has been very good in the UCL maybe with the exception of last season. What he did with Monaco at 17 is frequently brushed aside. He was the best player on the pitch when they lost to Real Madrid in the comeback. The year they went to the final he was devastating along with Neymar. If he wins multiple titles with Real Madrid and shouldn't be looked at any less.

I expect Kylian Mbappe to achieve big things at Real Madrid because he has always been a talented player individually which has never been a topic of debate, no matter what he does individually whether he plays well or not, he is going to be judged. Anything other than a champions league title or a Ballon Dor will be seen as a failure for him and the bar that he has set is so high for him and he joined this club to achieve the accolades that are missing from his collection. It’s actually crazy to me that he’s joining a team that just won the Champions League. There is so much pressure for him to deliver because they’ve wanted to sign him since 2017, he just arrived this year which is a relief among football fans who thought that they should never sign him and they believe they should move on from him, they’ve accepted his arrival because of his name and the fact that he’s a great player as from the get go he has to hit the ground running and win over the fans. He needs to start off very well, adapt to the team, score lots of goals and also deliver in big games as that’s the reason why they signed him. Everyone is going to get on his head if he has a slow start, if the team is struggling and don’t look as convincing as they did before they signed him and isn’t performing well in important games. He is on such a stacked team who are absolutely dangerous meaning that in almost every competition they play in, they’re always going to be the favorites to win it, in La Liga, they’re the best team in Spain, they’re usually one of the frontrunners to win the champions league every season and they’re going to win one of the domestic competitions as well. At best, we could see them winning almost 2-3 trophies every season. I don’t see him replicating Messi and Ronaldo’s stats in La Liga, Mbappe’s time at Real Madrid will be considered a success if puts up reasonable numbers and wins significant trophies and adds a Ballon Dor to his collection.

They don’t need creative midfielders or anything like that. They literally have the top Balon Dor contenders and some of the fastest players in the world. All they have to do is hit a long ball or through ball to Vini, Mbappe or Rodrygo and it’s most likely gonna be a goal. No defense is gonna be able to keep up with them. The only thing that will be able to stop them is if one of their ego’s becomes too big to the point where drama begins between players and they become selfish.

The problem with people analysing modern football is the FIFA brain. Football is not really played with formations. Mbappe wont play as a number 9/false 9. He wont play as a LW. Same with vini. It is them fluid in left side and half spaces. As Carlo mentioned...vini didnt even play Lw as defined by many last season. Formartons are a myth

Everyone looks at madrid as the team that will dominate every team in the world and win every match, but theres tons of teams that can still beat them currently, against man city in the ucl man city controlled the whole game while madrid sat back on defense the whole game, the " best team in the world" doesn't do that, for a best team in the world I'd expect them to at least have somewhat good stats against big teams and they should be able to actually attack most times against big teams.

Now that he’s at Real Madrid, he needs to win the UCL as he doesn’t have any excuses if that happens even if he has a ridiculous amount of goals which would be good for him individually, what’s going to happen if he doesn’t win the Champions League. At PSG, he was playing with Messi and Neymar, yet still couldn’t win the Champions League as every season he had opportunities to win it and I get it they were a dysfunctional team and they lacked quality in certain positions, at times, he hasn’t always been decisive enough in big matches since there have been moments where he has ghosted. He hasn’t had a standout moment in this competition. People are going to say “oh he scored a hat trick against Barcelona in 2021”, good for him, that was probably the weakest Barcelona team I’ve ever seen. It’s not entirely his fault, as a superstar he has to be held to those high standards even though the team around him wasn’t good enough which is why every season in the Champions League, he always came up short. This time around at Real Madrid, he has a much better supporting cast than ever before meaning that Mbappe will be brilliant individually, at least he’s going to have help around him since no player can single-handedly carry a team to greatness in the champions league as they can good individually while having an elite team surrounded around them. These guys are the kings of Europe for a reason. If they don’t win the champions league, people will start talking about them being a better team without Mbappe and say that they never really needed him and he’ll be a constant target for criticism. He’s going to win the Ballon Dor there which he has to since with Messi and Ronaldo not in Europe anymore, he has to prove to the world that he’s the best player in the world, even if he wins the champions league next season with Real Madrid, it’s going to help how we perceive him, but I don’t know if he’ll change his legacy in a sense that they have proven that they can win it with or without him and he joined a team that just won it last year and they also won the champions league in 2022. Having him in the team means they’re guaranteed to win it again even though without him they won it. They really didn’t need him, hey when a player of that ability is available on a free and there’s an opportunity to link him up with Vini Bellingham etc, they didn’t want to turn it down. There’s an argument to be made that he joined Real Madrid a little to late in his career and ok 25 feels like a young age, for him, it’s a bit of an old age since he has been linked to go there for years and also he’s going to be 26 in December and as good as he is, there’s not even a guarantee that he’ll even be their best player. At first, Real Madrid needed Mbappe, but it has always been the other way around, Mbappe needed Real Madrid more than they need him and unlike a certain Portuguese, he’s going there to save his career rather than save the club since they’re already an established team.
