If Gears 5 had the character weight, the stiff animations and the cancel timing of Gears 4, it would be a great game with a high skill gap. The tuning is already much better than core.

@@ice5615 Gears 5 makes it too easy to aim your gun, wallbounce and do things. It's not aim assist. Gears 5 has a very low skill gap compared to other games

speed boost off of cover and active reloads on starting loadout.. the good old days.. also, gears was designed to be a cover based shooter, which is why the lancer was so important. no blindly running out in the open with a shotgun.. taking away actives essentially made cover less important, which is why gears 5 isn't really gears of war.
