I lost my grandfather unexpectedly in November, definitely a hard thing to get over. My grandfather had a massive heart attack and passed away and it was horrible. It's good to know that he didn't suffer as much, since it wasn't a drawn out thing. Thinking of you and your family

I listened to this song for the first time the night I heard my grandpa passed away. He was my best friend and I still grieve over him when he passed a week before my birthday in February. It hit me really hard, the worst anything has ever hit me. It's still really hard to look down at his house and not want to go visit him but knowing that he's not living there anymore, just hurts so much. Today marks 10 years since my dad passed away from cancer. Usually I’m fine but then sometimes I just think about how much of my life he has missed out on and how much more he will be missing. I’m applying for colleges at the moment and it sucks knowing that he’s not going to be there for my high school graduation in a few months, even more so when I remember how he was a teacher and how much he emphasized education in my childhood. This will be my 3rd year without my granddaddy here... I recall everything that happened the day he died. It was a nice sunny spring break day on March 26 2014 I was on my way home from spending a night in the city after I had gone to a concert, I was sitting in the back on the van with my cousin and aunt, when my mom phoned me and told me that I should go to my friends house instead of going home, I was confused and I asked her why and she said that my grandpa had, had a heart attack and they were at the hospital in the little town we lived near (we also lived in a little town but no hospital) I tried my hardest to hold back my tears until my friends started texting me and asking if I was okay and what not, then when I got to her house I bursted into tears and we just laid on her bed for a few hours of sobbing and praying, my mom came an picked me up and I cried more and more to find out he didn't make it. Then after having a few days of getting the wake and funeral ready I was so depressed and I couldn't handle anything at all. I may not show it or anything but everyday I miss him. We always watched sports when we were younger, he always made sue we were well kept and fed. We always had money and warm clothes in the winter and everything a grandparent would do to keep their grandkids safe and well taken care of.

I listened to this song on a small ipod knockoff called a Zen and i cried in a cardboard box that i made into a lil house just missing my mom when she was gone for a business trip. I listen to this song when I think of my daddy. He was 49 years old when he died. It's been 5 months since he past away. He had stage 4 pancreatitis cancer. I was his little girl. We had our issues but he was still my best friend and my dad. It hurts knowing he won't be able to walk me down the aisle when I do get married or watch his grandson grow up and be an amazing person. He was only 9 and a half months old when my dad died. My son was his everything
