Wow~ Miah does such a great job working solo unexpectedly. Something about the way Miah talks it is most calming, I loved the respect you showed for that cow and being careful. Many youtube homesteaders come off as if cows are always so gentle all the time; it is good to show proper respect.

It's not just youtube homesteaders. My neighbour Dobry was killed by his oun young bull. People were warning him that he was getting too aggressive but Dobry thought that everything will be ok, since he was raising cows for the last 30 years without any complications. He loved his animals so much... I still miss him.

Congrats on the new baby calf!!! I took 2 years of German years ago in highschool and wanted to double check how you pronounce the new baby's name. A lot of people make this mistake. Fraulein, which is like our miss, meaning unmarried, is pronounced froyline, froy like the name roy. If you pronounce it frowline like frown then the meaning is a prostitute. I learnt this in my class. When we watched "The Sound of Music" the teacher paused it to show how in some places they pronounced it wrong. It is a common mistake, but thought I'd try to help early on before any rude people pitch in. I really enjoy your channel and can't wait to see more of the baby and the new seedlings in the greenhouse!

Just in general, milk fever doesn't "usually" affect younger cows often. It's like 3rd calving and beyond that it has a greater chance, and normally the higher production cows get hit the hardest with it. Just for future knowledge. I grew up on a dairy, degree in dairy science and managed a dairy herd for 22 years. If ever questions feel free to ask please. Welcome Fraulein!
