I honestly really like it. They are always the band that "does no wrong" for me. They are the band my soul loves so I just fucking love everything they do. This won't be for everyone & the whole album won't be like that but I love it. It's beautiful - unique but still the 75❤️

Me too; the ONLY song in their discography I skip is so far it’s alright and even that one is fine, I just adore everything they make. I’m open to a shit song but they just haven’t given me that 😭

This to me lyrically is some of Mattys best work maybe ever. The layers of personal story telling he weaves in between is next level. The ending about him detailing the last time he used in such detail is beautiful and heartbreaking. Proud of him and the boys

I love love loove it. It feels similar in vibe to The Birthday Party, which is one of my favorites off of NOACF- which I also loved, in spite of its weirdness so fitting for 2020. This song has many motifs and elements from previous The 1975 songs, it's like a mellow reintroduction to bring us back in, it's crazy how mature they sound. Loved your commentary and reaction. Hope to see you reacting to the next one and the full album once it's out!

He ripped the bridge part outta "new york" changed the lyrics and mashed them up with a weirder melodic Version of "nana" thats my take on the song.. Not too bad but feels disocnnected and i found the "hook" part was fitting much better with the song "new york" which they obviously kicked off the album

I love it honestly! This direction kinda reminds me of panic’s pretty odd as well. I guess the album will be very various though. Mostly drive like I do vibes in my opinion. I really hope they will continue with this “band” sound like on nocf with a bigger punk sound though 🤟🏻 thanks for this great review bro ☺️

I am a huge fan of them. I am so excited for this new era, it will definitely be BETTER than Notes. They are taking a new and fresh direction. We will always miss the first two eras, but this will be better than the last two. I’m so excited, I think this song has potential for a great era. The only thing that bothers me are that the lyrics don’t make a lot of sense? Anyway Matty style I guess hahahahahah

Notes was my least favorite album. So when I heard this song I had a feeling they were going for that same vibe. But I think everyone expected this album to be more like their self titled album which we’ve all grown to love and hold dear to our hearts. But I like the song I was ready for a big drum fill but I like how the strings kind of added that percussion and the rhythm to it. I hope this album is a mashup of old 1975 and current I guess.
