Shoutout to Ryan @imaginerice on IG for coming through with the editing of this video. Babes the rent is annually in Nigeria. However, the cost often doesn’t include electricity, diesel to power the generator, agency fees, legal fees for contract and service charges which is Estate dues, security, water, etc Hope this helps! 🥰

I would prayerfully go for Apartment 6. Looks airy, good lights, cleaner, tusher in a way, it has extra space you can let out and 'recoup' some of your rent back. Say the rent is 2.2 and you let out the extra space for 400k, that would mean you will be paying N1.8m instead. You can then charge your tenant like 5/10k for service charge for wastebin, security etc, depending of if you supply him/her lights. Catch is to ensure you get someone who won't be a nuisance to you. Finally, before you get a house further than 5th roundabout, be sure you won't be going out often, cuz of traffic. Lekki Phase 1 is more central, but watch out for water and avoid ground floors. 1st floor and above should be your target cuz of water and flood issues. Wish you all the best and remember to prayerfully select, there is 'more' to where you live or choose to live than meets the eyes...

Wow house prices have got up com;pared to when I relocated with my son in 2007. Then it was like 500k per annum and i had to pay for 2 yrs on the mainland. Obviously youre looking on the Island and things have gone up generally. What i use to fiind absurd was the state of the houses the Estate agents use to show me then, it use to be in a state, dirty and you will be the one to do the cleaning, painting etc. Evenutally I got something in Ikeja but it was a disater not knowning that there was a canal behind and every raining season which happended to be summer when we travel to UK before we got back all the house would be flooded infact the estate agent use to force the place open to clean the place. up before our arrival and everthing got spoilt. After my 2 years I had to look for somewhere else and made my mind never to live on the ground floor, luckily i got a brand new house and we happened to be the first tenant in a good estate. The moral of the story is you need to take your time Nija is not a place where you can rush to do things. I miss Nija still visit regularly and coming back finally but to my own property IJMN, it is essential if you want to live in Nija and be comfortable it's best to sort your own accommodation out. Best wishes.

Nigeria has large land mass and living in Lagos is rather stressful. I would rather live in Abuja, if I must live in a big city. Unless one must live in Lagos, there are options. There are other cities in Nigeria with very affordable housing. And are more peaceful places to live in and raise a family. Benin City, Enugu or Ibadan for example, are better. They have good houses in their GRAs. With the amounts I hear the agent say for three bedroom flats could actually get one a duplex of 5 bedrooms, alone in a compound with spacious backyard for kids to play outdoor and for one to sit out to take some fresh air. Thee cities have very little or no traffic wahala that is typical of Lagos. Unless one's business/job is in Lagos, there are options, really.

Is that 1 million Naira the total cost of the apartment or is that monthly? Either way that’s just ridiculous smh and you said that does not include utilities? That’s nuts!!! Hell naw! Those apartments should perfectly clean with all repairs and construction done before they start charging that amount. What’s the benefit of you living in Lagos and not another city in Nija? Edit: ok you answered my question. So that’s not too bad if your paying that yearly but they still need to do a better job with keeping the apartments looking nicer. Your hair is gorgeous like that! Soooo cute 😍 you would look super cute in a swing bob wig. What you have in is a regular bob but a swing bib is longer in the front and shorter in the back.

I made a decision years ago never to have my hair done in Nigeria. The plait too tight for me. It's literally not worth the headache 😂😂😂

Are you buying or renting? The prices are mind blowing. I wondered why you are opting for Lagos except you have your business here. Why don't you look for an estate where you can buy and pay in installments.

Original gala 😀. I always bring that for my friend because she demands for it. One of her favorite snacks while growing up in Nigeria. Well done Adanna 👍

The cost of living more specifically wages are way lower in Nigeria so a comparison with the US doesn't really work

Most of those apartments are not yet finished so they haven't been cleaned. Nigeria, especially Lagos has a large population with people relocating there everyday so it is very common to go check out an apartment well before its completion in order to secure it because if you wait to see the finished product, it'll have been sold by then or be higher priced. They weren't dirty .. just not complete.

This was excellent! Thanks for showing us the concert. I do not like some of those apartments in Nigeria. May Yahweh bless you in this move and much success to you in your new home. You are a brave woman and keep smiling and laughing because these people are showing you dirty broken down apartments that look like crap. You have the right personality in dealing with these men.

Most of those apartments and yards were still being finished and no one had lived in them. Most times in Lagos, you'd have to go check out an apartment well before completion in order to secure it because if you wait to see the finished product, it'll have been sold by then or be higher priced. So the agents usually have to explain the concept to you and you see it with your minds eye. They weren't dirty or broken down.. just not complete. Lagos is very populated with people relocating there everyday, if you snooze, you loose.
