I left Canada as soon as I finished my bachelor there. That was 13 years ago...and I can tell u that what are seeing is no different than 13 years ago. It does feel some what comfortable in most places in Canada, but it's so backward and outdated...and nearly mo growth in various industries, no need industries...Canada is becoming a hopeless country to majority of young people. And I don't plan to move back to Canada...good for a visit for travel...but not a country with future.

@@ginnox2049 Canada has become a sink ship country with strong racism in the air, not white against others but others against others include the white. Canada is going down with unqualified immigrants with self printed degee certs, no education, no experience and can't even speak English properly but getting important high pay jobs, dictating over well experienced Canada born Canadians who have real degrees, work experience and speak good English. Canada is all messed up by trying to be politically correct.

I have lived in China and Canada and when people say you will regret moving to Canada, believe it. Even though Canada is more multicultural, it follows the US in its attitudes towards the world, especially being anti-China. The Chinese in Canada say racism towards them is off the charts.

There are 1.7 million Chinese Canadians, creating a significant critical mass in major cities, which generally deters overtly outrageous racist behavior towards them. When you include other East Asians in Canada, the number rises to around 2.3 to 2.5 million. In cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal, where minorities are numerous, outright racism is rare, as people are accustomed to multiculturalism.

Racism towards Chinese in Canada is a righteous one imposed by their behaviour. Same with Indians. Assimilation is key yet they bright their Chinese CCP mindset and behaviour here. Also once the money goes into their community, they never come out. You don't see Indian and China restaurants hiring any other people than their race. A lot of places only accept cash for their food, service, etc. Also dirtiness is out of the world, it's like you bright their own shitty city here. This is the truth. You come to a free country, you respect freedom, not promote socialism or try to abuse the system.

I’m 62 and a white man born in Canada, living on the West Coast. You are going to regret this move my friend. Not sure why you picked a place that is so racist and on the decline. Canada has what I call polite racism, don’t be fooled. So, so expensive and the government is not about the people. If you are not rich you will NEVER get ahead. Africans are now in universities in China trained to the highest level in every specialty and as long as you have the training and the skills, you will be employed in your specialty. I had been traveling to China since the the late 90's. There are major changes and developments happening every years, cleaner, safer, modern and eye opening. Well, not to label China is perfect, but in general in scale and speed it is just remakedly impressive. Most Western media and politicians are just too prejudiced, disseminating only Anti China propaganda and to hide their own failures to perform on par with what China CPC had done. BTW, the arrogant media often like to call CPC as CCP to show nothing but their arrogance, condescension and political views more than the Reality. 😂

What he didn't know is that living in China, you're being treated like king but living in the western world, you "MAY BE" treated like criminals because you're black. Unless you're rich or have enough income, you may find yourself in poverty pretty quickly in the western world because everything is expensive here compare to China. I figure this guy has enough income to feel it is sustainable and that's why he doesn't mind. The reason you feel people are chill and lay back in the western world is because they're mostly isolated minding their own business. Remember, it is all about "me" culture, unlike China, where it is about "we" and cooperation. If you like to be isolated and mind your own business, don't want people to bother you...then western world is for you. You would think that Chinese being quiet are the one that want to mind their own business...but it's quite the opposite. Their lifestyle and city are busting with activities and people moving about. And you think that western world would be the one busting with life, but not so.

Which province in Canada are you staying in? In Toronto, there are a number of Africans. Some Cameroonians. You'll feel more at home in Canada. For sure housing is much cheaper in China. Locally grown food in China is cheap. Everything in Canada is expensive. Canada is also getting poorer. Some new immigrants got tired of how expensive things are in Canada and left for other countries. Remember that Canada is a USA ally, and the USA is trying to contain China's rise. So Canada is a fairly sinophobic country.

"Inflation" basically means the middle class has too much savings. You hear everyday on the news with government officials saying "inflation" a dozen times a day which they are basically sending a secret message to the 1% of the wealthy business owners to raise prices because the consumer has too much money in their savings accounts ! Just check out the parking lot of your local shopping mall on a weekdays and you will see it's filled to the rim with parked cars ! When the Bank of Canada raises interest rates, they are basically nuking all three classes, the 1% and 69% are not really affected, but the other 30% who are the working poor is in which the Federal Government will compensate once they file their income tax !

The empty streets is what makes Canada so depressing, especially during dark rainy winters. There's no energy at all and looks so gloomy as everyone just cocoons themselves in their houses. This is why Canadians are not overtly friendly as they close themselves off literally

I’m 2nd generation Canadian. Been living in HK for past 24 years for career/work. Money will not take you far in Canada. It’s very expensive. You didn’t even mention the tax there. Why did you move to Canada? I’m assuming you moved to Toronto from a brief shot of Dundas and Yonge St. I wish you all the best. Even though Toronto is more diverse, there are still many racist people there, racist immigrants, racism from all groups. Discrimination in the schools and work place. Though you may find a big African community there and help your stay and feel at home away from home. Good luck!

I really don't know what is in Canada for you to grasp? Save up your money and do not buy anything to settle down, this place is not for middle class and you can not save money. You either be extremely rich and care about extradition treaty between Canada with China or incredibly poor file for refugee status to stay and benefit from it. I don't think you are either, tons of good places around this world and middle class family are leaving Canada you may want to ask them why.

Going to Canada is the right choice, Canada is an immigrant country where you and your family can become citizens and eventually settle down and have a life of your own. China is great too, but it's not an immigrant country and it's hard to get Chinese citizenship for you and your children. As hard as it will be, Canada will be your child's home.

In fact, life can also be very leisurely in small citys in China. After graduating from college, I chose to return to my hometown's small city and become a doctor. Not much work, relatively decent income, no traffic congestion, and affordable housing prices. I have raised two children, owned a large area of housing and two cars, which are usually difficult to have in big cities. It has been almost twenty years since then. I can drive for two hours to the provincial capital and enjoy the services of a big city.

@@ffbeexaid4509 It's always been available when I needed it... not that I 'needed' it much. In 2021, I found myself having difficulty breathing. I stayed home for 2 days with it because it being my first time feeling that way, I thought it would go away. Day 3, I decided to call the ambulance. Ambulance arrives in less than 1/2 hour . I was given emergency breathing aid in the ambulance and taken to the hospital. At the hospital, I was given further breathing aid, saw a doctor and admitted. I spent 5 days, given several tests, blood works, plus saw a heart specialist, and a lung specialist and visits, constant monitoring. Released 5 days later with appointments booked for further test monitoring and and followup appointments for both specialists. Cost to me CAD$45, the cost for the ambulance which was billed later. Healthcare in Canada is not free, it's paid by taxes which personally I'm happy to contribute to.🫶🏼🇨🇦

Add to all that Winter! You spend 4 to 5 months freezing yourself!I came back to Canada 4 years ago and the only way I can be happy is to live 6 months abroad and 6 months with my family .
