No I live in NL. My thinking right now is as follows. Even if I become the richest man in NL (let's say) Winter will still come and whoop me. I am (in secret) considering going to America. If I knew how to make money, I'd probably already have done it. I'm 23 (relevant info) I think, watching this video and your latest video, that you are brave for just doing it. Idc about anything else. You are so frking brave no matter what. Much love.

Just wanted to ask you a few things plze so, if I wanted to move to America I have myself,my partner and kids so I would have to pay all that process for each of us is that right ? And also do I need to have a job status there first before I want to move and did you say your a childcare teacher ( working in a nursery ) if so is the wages good ? Hi I'm so sorry I've only just seen this 😔 I don't know how much you'd have to pay with kids as I just moved as myself but you may be able to get a family visa, I'm not sure. In terms of job, you need to have a job lined up before you arrive and thar company has to, what's called, "sponsor" you, unless you come through an agency (who sponsor you) or a study visa. You can come on a tourist B1 visa but that obly lasts 6 months. My advice would be to speak to an immigration lawyer to see what your best options are 😊

You mentioned you were going to get your international drivers licence for a year. I’m also moving next year to LA on a green card and just assumed I’d have to take a test in California. I have a full U.K. driving licence, what is the international one?

So it turns out I didn't actually need my international one in the end. When you get to LA you can drive on your British license for 3 months before you need to take your test to get your California one. The test is super easy compared to the UK and cost like $40 so you'll be fine. I'm excited for you 😁

You can go on a tourist visa and yru get sponsored over there but it's hard

if your moving to la without a job I'm assuming you have a wealthy balance to support the move and then living there aswell so you could go down the investor visa route or rent 6 month at a time on a tourist visa and live out there for 6 month if your single you never know you might find the one and then your spouse can sponsor you

How much did it cost you to move in total?? (Visa, accommodation, plane tickets etc) all the costs until you started working.

About £2400 I'd say as I paid £1400 to the company who helped me find a host family and sort my visa and that included my plane ticket and insurance. Then my visa appointment cost, medical, poloca check, train fares to and from each appointment etc. When I arrived here I had free accommodation and food as I live with my host family, and I started earning money straight away as their au pair 😊

Hey unfortunately I don't have a green card I'm on a temporary J1 visa. I'm an au pair which is the easiest option to get a J1 visa and the house is included (I live with my host family). So I can't really help you with any of them, sorry

I mean if it was me I would definitely go and try. I left the UK at 20 and moved to Canada and I LOVED IT. It was hard but so fun and so worth it. If you decide to study here you'll be able to make loads of friends but same if you just get a job. California and Utah are both beautiful too 😍

I can't really help you - if you watch this video I explain that my situation was very specific. I'd highly recommend an immigration lawyer or as you have an Irish passport, I believe you can enter into the green card lottery

I mean it really depends where you go. California is the most expensive state, yes but the pay is usually higher to reflect it depending on your job. As an au pair it is hard as we get paid very little but ypu get your rent & groceries paid for which is a huge help. What job are you looking at?
