I've been out of a job for 5 years. I've gotten to where I'm digging aluminum cans out of dumpsters to make money along with scrap metal. I'm apart of the hidden homeless since September 2018. Mom took me into her home which she was diagnosed with lung and liver cancer may 16th 2022. I'm trying to care for her and struggle getting a w2 job. Yet I feel like existing life do to a brother that's physically abusive towards. The place I'm in I can stay in as long as I pay 700 dollars per month yet I can't do that dollar amount without help. I'm middle-aged and I feel as though suicide is the only way out

My late god grand mother tried to fix things between me and my mum but the peace lasted only a while. I still get those irking jabs at my confidence and insecurities so... It's a must to move out. I hope you tell your parents that you are thankful for them from helping you but you have chosen to leave in order to focus on school, work, etc. Just tell them you will visit them and that you love them .

I definitely think that if you feel unsafe in your environment you deserve a change. I would start by looking into creating an income that allows you to save up to move, and/or jobs that would pay you to relocate. I definitely know that the process looks different for everyone but it does happen eventually. In the meantime, I would also develop healthy coping mechanisms for your current environment. As hard as it may be, it will help you to sustain. I really hope all improves for you. Feel free to DM me if you need to ✨ Sending you love!
