This is a long comment and good video I resonated with what you said a new sub here. I have seen a lot of people saying they don’t understand why anybody would love from a state in the north and move to a hot and humid state in the south? Or people are foolish to love to Florida other negative comments. I understand Florida is hot humid there are states hotter and more humid. Also I have seen comments like when you live here in Florida all u do is stay inside all day because it’s too hot. This may be true wouldn’t you be staying inside for the summer in any other state that is hot? Also who wants to deal with brutal winters? You will be inside 99% of the time in the heated house and not outside enjoying the freezing cold (my opinion I can’t say who else agrees). High cost of living yea I agree Florida has a high cost of living. I know there are plenty of places you could live that have a cheaper cost of living a lot of southern states as an example. When you look at the bigger picture everywhere you could say if you don’t have a decent paying job, a savings, then it would be hard to make it. Nowhere is impossible to live you have to play your cards right. I see comments like it’s boring in Florida, it’s too flat. Ok understandable, in reality you could say any state is boring. Not all states are flat some have hills and mountains. Not everybody likes to hike up hills and mountains. I feel like it’s a preference things here just like the heat and cold weather. Some comments have said people get the illusion of a vacation paradise where you will sit on the beach everyday. Come to find out you are hardly ever at the beach because of work and other life things come first. My opinion no matter where you live isn’t this what happens you work five six even seven days a week and life gets in the way of doing things you like examples hiking going riding on your bike to fishing or hunting whatever the case maybe it happens to everyone. Unless you live a life full of luxury because you have the money to do so. Or you work a passive online business something like KZbin or whatever online business you have to make money you have more time on your hands then working for someone else dreams I understand there things like hurricanes are big in Florida and the southern states in the gulf. Not saying hurricanes aren’t destructive and what not. Other states have bad natural disasters also. Huge snow storms, wild fires, earthquakes, tornadoes the list goes on. Some use these disasters in their equation on whether or not they want to deal with if they move to that state. I have seen other comments saying stuff like if you come to Florida you will get stuck and never leave and possibly become homeless. I agree this is a possibility. On the flip side this Can happen anywhere that you go. Most of us are living paycheck to paycheck if we lost our jobs we would be screwed in the street. Also stuck like a lot of the homeless out there in the world. There are plenty of people in many different states where they are lucky enough to have a car to sleep in and aren’t technically on the street. Or others live day by day at a motel, hotel or extended stay because they can’t save the money for an apartment or job doesn’t pay enough to get an apartment. Been there done that it’s hard everywhere. In conclusion my opinion is it is always good to do your research and due diligence on where you want to go. I understand that sometimes you can’t plan or don’t and just move because you want to. Is doing something without a plan wrong? No I feel like there is no real right or wrong way to live life. Do what you feel is right for your own life do what makes you happy. Love what you do and do what you love life is way to short not to take risks in life. One day we are here planning for the future or hoping to do this and do that then the next day we are either dead. Or can’t fulfill those dreams and aspirations because we somehow got injured and or disabled or even just scared to take the plunge to live or do whatever you wanted to do. Just my thoughts on the situation I hope the best for everyone

I'm from Florida and I left to Kansas City in 2016 with no plan, a little money saved and an apartment lined up off of craigslist. I'm glad I left Florida when I did. Its not that great of a state, I do not know why people are desperate to move there? I'm a Florida native, born & raised and I left. My life got better within 6 months. I have everything I ever dreamed of, career, education advancements and material possessions, friendships, relationships, etc., Florida gave me nothing. I left on a greyhound bus. Keep the poverty that Florida will off y'all. It ain't paradise. Good luck!

@@kylekirkconnell Florida is beautiful and it is a great to enjoy. But pretty much all of my classmates I grew up with are not in Florida, or left Florida after finishing school or moved to pursue education elsewhere because beauty just doesn't produce financial stability. Kansas City transformed my life and now I'm planning a move to Chicago. At the end of the day, transportation, and financial stability are important for us all. Florida just doesn't offer either of the two. I wish you the best of luck in your journey. Life is an adventure, that's for sure. Soak it all up!

Easy to ‘move’ to Florida but because of the extremely low wages here compared to the cost of housing you might be lucky if you can ever again afford the U-Haul to leave. Lots of people get ‘stuck’ in Florida. It’s a pit.

@@kylekirkconnell you do end up trapped there. I don’t know when people are going to do documentaries on Florida state as a whole not one city in particular. I left NY for Florida 6 years ago. Hate FL (everything about it, law enforcement, entitled toxic people, manipulative thief's everywhere, you will get screwed one way or another from landlords, from a bartender, the dentist, car mechanic, AC guy). Finally moving back up north just to a smaller town. Culturally a complete misfit in FL. Think about that before making a permanent move if from up north - test it out for 6 months first.

I went from Mass to FL in 2004 for college. It's not easy to get started here theres so much competition that drives down wages. a 40k a year job will get 300 applicants from all over. It was easier when you could rent places for 500$ a month. Now you have to earn alot to pay rent there's less room for error. I lived in downtown st pete for $550 a month selling boats making 37k in my best year. You need at least 80k to make life work now in Tampa Bay

@@kylekirkconnell The driving force was what was outside of where I currently was. I loved to travel from trips that my family would take us on so I was adventurous. I recall seeing a photo of my mom and dad on a honeymoon in the mtns of CO. I thought, WOW. I had zero fear of the unknown and even so, it would all work out. God uses people to intervene to give us the stuff we need. It's important to recognize that. What an adventure. We just packed up and left. My sister had a job that she could transfer to at a Holiday Inn which was awesome. At least we'd never starve w/ a food source! I started working there too and met so many people that had connections. We ran into tough times but that's all a part of the journey. My sister never left there, met her husband and had two kids. Me? I continued to drift! LOL. I can't tell you how many places I've been to. It would take me forever to tell you all of the stories but this one was the best because it was the start that changed our lives forever. My advice to people is to just do it!

I resignated totally with your story. I am well into my 60s now and still stepping out in Faith which kinda is similar to what you are discovering. I’m married, fathered 4 children, back in the 70s I left everything in Southern ca and took off to Europe. Lived on Faith in Christ, traveled throughout the world. Learned to speak German fluently. Got a job in Northern Germany that funded so many of my dreams and travels. Came back to America and married. I too started my own business in medical sales and learned so much. And now with my wife of almost 30 years, here we go again. Selling everything to get out of the city and buying acreage in Tennessee to be mortgage free, debt free. Car payment free and soon to be credit card free. To not be dependent upon any form of government. To live Free and Live Simple. And to stay in good health. One is never to late to step out of the past norms in America and to be Free. For me and my wife, our journey of Freedom is in Christ Jesus and our experiences in life, I’d never change that for any worldly aspirations. What you have and are doing is remarkable and we wish you all the incredible successes yet to occur in your life. God Bless you and thank you so much for sharing as you do. Hope your channel here will explode with people that you can touch and empower to take that risk and believe for a future of wonderful potential. Wayne

@kylekirkconnell Your most welcome, Kyle. One thing I forgot to share is that, while I like you, stepped out and risked everything, I, while living oversees, had also many times, no income, no job. In fact remembering walking the streets with 2 suitcases of all I owned with no monies yet at the ripe age of 21, I just did the positive mind set, (I will make it and God is with me in all of this). That night in Northern Mulheim Germany, I got into a youth hostel. Had a tiny bunk to sleep on, and the next day, I was able to get an interview in a small convalescent hospital. I interviewed all in my broken German and got hired!!! Unbelievable! They needed a suckered, lol.. like me to bathe 80 year Olds. Some even served under Hitlar. During that year, I got my German down fluent. Had free room and board with pay. After those days and traveled throughout Eastern Europe, I had enough money to fly back to then So. CA. And I had over 500 dollars from working in the EU in my pocket. I could probably write a book on all of this, but again, your story Kyle is most inspiring ❤️. Keep moving forward. This world needs your inspiration in particular for the days ahead of us here in the US. 😄👍

@SybilBicette-ex3jh Kyle's testimony is awesome, and it touched my life also. At my age, like Kyle, all things are possible. The world will love to enslave us into their system. I said back back years ago, and even right now, no to what would like to halt ones dreams and aspirations. Take the risk and believe. Believe it, you will succeed against the norm and live. For me personally, I put all my faith and trust in God. I had my parents and many people trying to convince me that what I did and wanted to accomplish in my life was stupid and crazy. Well, I had that inner voice encouraging me to step out and believe anyway with little or no hope from back then family and friends. Like Kyle and even me, we are proof that all things are possible. I'm doing it again right now. Sold our home, waiting now for escrow to close. Moving to raw land. With no extra income but only with what little I get from the sell of my house, paying for the acreage, a new small home, a well, and to be off grid to grow our own food and not be in any shape or form reliant on government for financial assistance. To live free and live simple. You can do it. Trust in God. Believe in Jesus, and He will guide and sustain the dreams and aspirations in your journey's life. Blessings in all you aspire to do. Wayne

@@debed5177I will take Arizona or California over Florida. The day I become wealthy I’m purchasing a home in California not ratchet Florida. I grew up and was born in Florida but that place will have you in poverty and I don’t want to drown from a major hurricane which I survived several growing up there. People from up north who’s indoctrinated by the whole “snow” bad and “sun” good go to Florida because they were lied to. Florida has one of the most worst weather in the South. To each it’s own with low prying jobs to. Why would I risk my life to drown plus have low wages on jobs even with a college degree? 😂. Y’all people crazy and won’t let this state live in it’s truths that it’s not a good state to go build a life in. That’s why crime is high in Florida but america whether focus on New York or California or Illinois or New Jersey or Maryland. They love marketing Florida as this greta state but it’s a rough gritty environment and economically horrible if you’re not from a wealthy background.

@@stevewalther2293 Yes so many of them end up homeless because they come thinking Florida is the place that will help them and give them social support once they fall on hard times. They come with that mentality of their former homes but realize you’ll be left to die outside in Florida in any region to. Florida isn’t built for opportunities to succeed or higher paying jobs or a good economy state for you to thrive in business. You could go to college there but you won’t find slot of internships or jobs there. You’ll be roommating there for years without your own privacy or in motels which are expensive there to or you’ll be outside.

I had a similar situation. I'm also from Michigan. I moved down in 2000. Things were much different then. The cost of living wasn't anywhere near as bad as it is now. Everytime the blue team gets in control, the first thing they do is screw the people. Anyway, when I moved down I stay at my sisters house for two days. Filled out applications everyday. I found an apartment in two days, and I found a job on the third. I remember sitting down on the 3rd or 4th day in my apartment checking my finances. I had somewhere between $300-$400 left over, but at that time lasted a lot longer. Anyway, I hope things work out for you. Sure beats MI in the wintertime.

@@kylekirkconnell yes, I’ve been here ever since I moved down. However, I became a long haul trucker. That changed the dynamics. Finding a job wasn’t as hard because everyone hated that job. Hey man, thanks for the comment! If I'm being honest, and from my current perspective of Florida (and everyone has their own!) I think it's getting really over-populated and expensive. I'll also say that this spring so far has been the hottest that I've experienced here in the 4 years I've been here. Which I'm hearing from a lot of long time locals as well. We're getting mid summer weather at the beginning of May! Cost of living is going up everywhere honestly, but it seems even more so here right now. I've been considering moving a little north of FL, like GA, TN, NC or SC or something. But I'm waiting to see what the universe has planned for me like usual. But, with all that being said, if you're called to the area, trust that! Definitely gonna be more humid than you're used to though, for sure. 🤣 Wishing you the best!!

LEAVE BEFORE YOU CAN'T LEAVE. Get out of Florida while you still can it's better to be poor and homeless in a place with economic opportunity than to be poor and homeless in what is effectively a desert. As somebody who last year decided to just up and leave to St Louis MO I can tell you first hand that Florida is nothing special if anything it's a trap. Lack of economic opportunities plus high cost of living plus very high temperatures results in you gradually sliding into homelessness. Although it is gradual you're still sliding into it.
