Born and raised in Ontario and ever since I discovered stealth camping/Van and truck conversions I always wondered what stealth camping in Toronto would be like. When it comes to car theft or other crimes, it really is just by experience. As long as you walk and talk with confidence most people won't trouble you. The homeless folk also won't trouble you if you decline to give them money, just say so in a stern voice. If you want authentic Indian food, def go to Brampton and go to a restaurant called King Tandoori. By far the best Indian food I've ever had, I think they're even 24 hrs!

Hi, I am in Waterloo. Welcome to Canada! I have two tips for you 1) avoid Jane and Finch, these are streets that cross each other. That area of Toronto is dangerous and no place to hang out or sleep. I don't live in Toronto but I do know that area is unsafe. 2) don't wash mushrooms friend, it's best to wipe gently with a damp cloth (best for lightly dirty mushrooms) as mushrooms are like sponges. To avoid getting waterlogged I suggest the damp cloth but if you rinse under water just handle them gently and use them straight away. I just subscribed to your channel. I am going to follow your journey in Canada. Are you staying in Ontario? By the way, I love your camper set up and you did amazing on the steak.

Love your videos, especially those document what it's like actually living in a small space, converted van, car, etc., day-to-day. This extended journey has me stoked, as it looks like it will best exemplify what you've been doing in the U.S. The initial trips up to Montreal were good, too, but I think they tended to focus more on the tourist trap type stuff and Canadian tropes & stereotypes. I would just make one minor correction when you stated that Canada has nine provinces. We actually have ten provinces, plus three territories, and several self-governing Indigenous nations and regions (as well as hundreds other Indigenous bands that still operate under the colonial Indian Act). I live in British Columbia and have lived there my whole life. In fact, I've actually never been east of Saskatchewan. Eventually, I'll get there.

Welcome to Canada. We need nurses here! We also NEED qualified butchers. I was a kid from Scarborough in the 1960s and I think it's a bad area now. Ontario has a homeless population of 80,000 as recently reported. It warms up around the middle of May. I think it's wonderful to see you roller skating through Toronto, you're a real adventurer! Take a trip to Thunder Bay, it's really cool seeing amethyst in it's natural habitat :)

This was awesome, Arsian. You over the border past my hometown for the past 11 years in Fort Erie. I’m so glad you spent time at the market in St. Catharines. You’ve seen more of my neck of the woods in one day than I have in years!😁Never been there (or to the the Real Canadian Superstore as well. Growing up in Toronto, I hope you enjoy your time there. You are such a great person sharing your stealth travel tips, humour and positive way of being with all of us and those you meet in your travels. Welcome to Canada. Stay warm and enjoy our country (ps there are 10 provinces, not 9 - unless we’ve given one away that I’m not aware of 😉). I’m in a completely different environment right now. In beautiful 🇯🇲 for the winter. Btw…what great photography skills you have!

Welcome to our beautiful country. You’ll really enjoy the fact that your money is worth almost twice as much here right now. 😅 You’re going to need a windproof heavy coat, hat, gloves, and a scarf so you don’t get sick. For the first time, I think ever, the snow hasn’t hit yet. When it does, it will be -20+ Celsius. Find a Dollarama store, and you can get yourself a good hat, gloves and scarf for under $10. Go to a value Village store and you will be able to find a like new heavy coat for under 20 bucks. ❤

Hi there. I’ve been following your videos on KZbin. I was surprised to see your about 4.5 hours away from me in Toronto. A busy place like Toronto may be close to living in Jersey in terms of living in a populated area but Canada has many beautiful places, far better than Toronto. By the way Canada does not have 9Provinces, we have 10 and three territories. You’d be interested in knowing as well that the Ontario Government has been paying for Nursing schooling for a couple of years now due to the dire state of affairs our Health Care System is in. If I could make a recommendation to you while in Toronto is to go to Ripleys Aquarium right beside the CN Tower. I know you were in the area while eating your steak, mushrooms and maple syrup and it’s a beautiful place that I highly recommend.
