@aaa bbb Who hurt you ? France is litteraly one the most cosmopolite country in the world... Yes, it is originally a *white* country but you can't walk more than 5 minutes without crossing someone from a different ethnicity than yours (Algerian, Morrocan, Tunisian, Senegalese, Congolese, Carribean, Korean, Chinese and more...) I'm saying that being a 2nd generation of immigrated Africans (I'm mixed race : half Senegalese / half Algerian)

@aaa bbb I don't know anything about politics or economy but I would say that 90% of the time, it is to afford a better lifestyle / living conditions (?) There is no shame in that At least I know that that's why my grandparents immigrated to France. Not that they didn't loved their country, but the reality is that they wanted to offer a better future for their children. I love Senegal just as much as I love France, but it still a poor country (once again, I'm not shaming my country, it is just reality) And it's easier said than done. You can't really expect from nations that have been colonised and exploided for centuries to just built themselves from the ground. They would need extra help but I don't think that any other country has the desire to help the entire continent. Wakanda is a beautiful utopia of what Africans nations could have been (or still could be) but it is still fiction

Not to discredit Thred up, but in France, you could shop second hand for cheaper and maybe better on Vinted ! And in Paris, I would recommend you to go walking on the Docks (les quais), because you keep passing them but never going there and I think it's a shame because you'll probably like it. Then, go to Place de la Bastille, Menilmontant, go to the movies in a Mk2 cinema or anywhere in Odeon, go check the Sorbonne, or go to Saint-Michel, to Notre-Dame. Just suggestions from a ex-local !

Hiya Leah ! Whoa ! That was quite a surprise to see a Hitomi round 2 in Paris ! Would have been funny to do a sleepover round 2 with her. It could become a series on its own, Sleepover Leah+Hitomi all over the world ^^ Lovely to see your surroundings. I'm rediscovering my birth town (although it's been a while I haven't been back. I think last time was 4 years ago. Damn, time flies... I saw your insta stories for your birthday picnic, it felt so fantastic. I wanted to come join you guys, as I feel this is the closest you'll ever be to Brussels this time around (and it would definitely be lovely to finally meet you irl), but it's still a 4.5h bus trip from Brussels to Paris, and since I couldn't find any airbnb that wouldn't break the bank (I'm still unemployed, atm), I'm a bit too old now to be able to spend 9-10h+ on the road back and forth for one single day. It's really a shame I couldn't join you at the picnic, in the end, otherwise, I would have brought some Belgium chocolate for your birthday with pleasure... Joyeux anniversaire, d'ailleurs ^^. Are you still staying in Paris for a few weeks (see if I can still have a chance to run into you in case I find someone's couch to crash at, or in case I can't, at least send you some chocolate), or are you already on your way to another adventure ?
