This is beautiful, involving your two sons. We exposed our two daughters to the same types of things even before KZbin was "invented" and today they are both grown women with so much empathy for others, for animals, for the earth, and they are both so creative because they were given the space and opportunity when they were young to learn to appreciate what's important. You bring so much light, magic and inspiration to the world. Your videos always move me and bring me to that little untouched part of my soul. No one else can do that. I moved to the city three years ago after living ten years in the country side, also for a job opportunity. I have missed my woods, my trees and birds and my quiet every single day I moved here. As funny as it might sound, I sometimes even miss the discomfort of the cold I had there during winter. And how at times because of storms I would lose electricity for a few hours and would have to force myself to read or do something in the silence. I now live a very comfortable, safe and financially stable life, something I never had before. I am truly grateful for everything I do have now, but there's this emptiness inside of me that keeps wanting me to go back to the woods and the silence. Your videos fill that emptiness even if temporarily...bless you, for you represent such a profound way of living

Since three years I'm recovering. I left the city and live in a small village now. I have learned that I need a lot of silence to be by myself and to be creative with writing. I thought that life on a farm would be wonderful but I wasn't looking at all the hard work! I've never lived on a farm but I've lived in increasingly small places. currently I am living just outside of a very teeny village in western Washington state. This is my dream place! I love the feeling of peace and quiet that the snow brings. It shuts out all other sounds, leaving you with that silence that seems to make you contemplate life. The only sounds are the wind blowing gently through the trees, the sound of your breath, and the crunch beneath your feet. It really is a magical time. I love winter so very much. I love how it forces you to slow down and rest, because that is what the earth is doing. I love how we naturally adapt to the different rhythms of each season. I have been living in a way similar to this for the last 3 1/2 years because I've been healing from a brain injury. I have to try to protect myself the best I can from the pandemic, and other stressors. My life has slowed down to where I can notice the different species of birds and how they pair up and which ones come and go throughout the year. It has been absolutely beautiful. I have definitely become so intertwined with my dog, earth & sky. I feel as though if I were to stand still outside, like a tree, my feet would become rooted into the earth below. It's that profound. It has been such a great silver lining. I am so grateful for being able to live this way as long as necessary.

I love your videos so much -- they're so calming and restorative. The world has gone so upside-down in the last couple of years, it's just so lovely to have a YT channel that emphasizes what's beautiful and good about the world. I don't know if this will help anyone, but at the beginning you said you had been tested for a lot of things and got no diagnosis. Women and girls with ADHD often present very differently from boys/men and often do not get an ADHD diagnosis or get misdiagnosed with something else (depression, anxiety, "shyness", etc). What you described sounded very much to me like ADHD in women. And while that very well may not be your case, it may be true for some other listeners. I encourage women who are highly sensitive and feel out-of-sync with the rest of the world to google "ADHD in women" and even "autism in women". I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD until a couple of years ago at age 57, and I just think how much stress, feelings of failure and a negative self-image I could have been spared if, even in my 20s or 30s someone had suggested I could have ADHD, and that it shows up differently in most women. I am so grateful my adult son recognized he is neurodiverse (was spotted by a therapist), and that he helped me in my journey to diagnosis.

@@AJ-ce7xu No, you can't "heal" or "cure" ADHD. There is a physical difference in the brain of people who have ADHD. That's like saying you can make it so that someone with brown eyes can change their actual iris color to blue by eating certain foods. You can make the symptoms of ADHD improve, but it's not going to go away. Nothing wrong with eating healthy, or taking meds or doing therapy. All those things can help ADHD people function better. But yeah, at this point in time, it's not curable.

Thank you Paola for sharing! We are heading towards Summer so it’s surreal to see that the other side of the world is plunged deep into winter. I love snow, it makes everything so magical. I love your creativity, and your poppies are so beautiful, well done! Keep warm, with all my love from New Zealand 💜

I love that you talk about the winter fairies!! 🧚‍♂️ 🧚‍♀️ 🧚 There's a forest near my home and when I walk the trails, there's one area with many mossy boulders amongst the trees that when I pass, I say, and this is where the fairies live!! 💜

Your snow fairies have been very busy!! The snow is so serene & beautiful. I have little rural my whole life & can't imagine living in a city. I love the slower pace & the quieter environment that country living offers. Your videos make me want to slow down even more & appreciate the world around me. Take care sweet fairy girl 💚🌨️🐈

I live in Australia and I am stealing myself from opening it to start reading it as I am getting married in two weeks and am saving it to read on my honeymoon in those quiet moments… Thank you for bringing inner calm and peace to my life and so many others. Much love, Francesca xox💐🥰🌻🎄

I'm touched. You look a lot like me.Since I was young, I've always been so into nature that I prefer to play quietly by myself. It's almost impossible to follow someone's instructions, so I still don't have a job^^;; God bless you for being given an environment where you can develop your talents well! It's a life of inspiration. He's a real living person.^^🥰

Hello Paola, Your thing with the pillow in the closet is definitely something I'm going to try. I leave in a city in France for my studies, and it is quiet hard sometimes because all I've always known is small villages where people knows each other and where it is quiet. I found that interesting you shared some "tips" to cope with feelings of overwelming, it will be very helpful for me at least! Enjoy the snow :)

I have always lived in a very rustic area of the Ouachita Mountains. We are about 80 miles from the nearest large town ( over 5,000). There are only 19,000 in the whole county. It's in the middle of the Ouachita National forest. 1.4 million acres of woods. We hunt, fish, fish forage and garden. Some people have commercial farms but not many. There are two small dairies in the area.

I just moved from the city to the countryside in Switzerland. Of course, it is A LOT smaller than where you live... I'm in the city in 30 Minutes with public transports. But I feel like I can breath again! I started to feel like the city was suffocating me. I love taking strolls in the forest next to us, I love that I now have a garden... I still wish that we would find a house of our own... not a rental appartement, but for now I'm just happy that I can live on the countryside. I hope for a snowy winter! Have a nice quiet time! I love your content!
