I wasn't setting the pace, that's up to the leader, I'm just matching. If the staff think we're too fast, they'll keep us on yellows until we're slow enough 👍

@@RobGoesRacing fair enough like, other than that great race and shame that you were exhausted, how do you move the pedal position?
@RobGoesRacing8 ай бұрын
The pedals on these biz karts have extra sections that flip over and lock in place

Why do they have some karts slightly slower or faster than the others? My Son races there in the academy Cadet Karts with him only been 9, but he's trying to improve his lap times, but sometimes he says it's not possible because the karts he as on the second session or sometimes on the first session feel slower than the other he's been in. So even the cadet Karts have slightly different speeds, the little guy gets frustrated by it.
@RobGoesRacing9 ай бұрын
It's just the way of rental karting unfortunately. The cadet karts at Sheffield are all new, so should be fairly similar. The adult ones are quite old. They get driven by people with all sorts of abilities and get crashed quite often. If the geometry is out, the quicker drivers are going to notice the discrepancies more than the general public may.

@@RobGoesRacing Yea thats a fare point on the adult karts the way some people have driven them they certainly have been abused. I suppose it's kinda good my son can notice sometimes there's slight gains or drops in performance in some of the cadet Karts. 2 weeks ago he kicked out some good times even though there was traffic in front of him holding him up and eventually getting passed them, but after the first session he said to me that kart he was in clearly had some performances advantage over the others, so he was been honest about why he was doing so good and not trying to take all the credit. Maybe with them been new they have to be bedded in a bit before turning the power up, so there could be 1 or 2 cadet karts there trying that on before tuning the rest up. Your Racing Rob is certainly very entertaining to watch, just watch it twice now.

Most karting videos use a GoPro mounted either to the top of the helmet or the chin
@RobGoesRacing9 ай бұрын
Yeah, as said, a GoPro mounted on my helmet, in my case, on my chin. There is a frequent questions link in the description which goes into more detail!

You never driven more then 30mins in a row? you should be able to drive at least 1hour without being shattered ;)
@RobGoesRacing8 ай бұрын
I didn't say I hadn't done this length before, I just wasn't properly prepared this time! I was expecting 40 minutes, and it was around the 45 minutes mark that the exhaustion started hitting me. The total duration of all the sessions was just over an hour. The pace was also a lot higher than I expected, I was fighting for position in all races.
