Kart 13 today felt like it only had half of an accelerator pedal today. 15 went like a stabbed rat so did 24 and 7. Still obviously not had a cycle of checks through the team garage yet as there was lots of variability in karts. I drove all of the above karts so can say from personal experience. Day before racing the same karts at Bradford the ones at Sheffield are deffo slower at the moment. Heavyweights today doing 1:01 and change with the better performing karts. Lightweights only hitting 0:58. All BIKC racers.

Are TeamSport still trying to get all locations to have electric karts at some point?
@RobGoesRacingКүн бұрын
Yes, but they are starting with the easier/cheaper ones! Some tracks, like Sheffield, will need a fair bit of work as they'll need larger out areas for the chargers

@tomfox7473 күн бұрын
Outdoor: The karts are faster, braking is much more of a consideration, overtaking and racing is easier and you have the addition of changing conditions/water/dirt on the track. Indoor: Tighter more technical circuits, slower karts, very hard to overtake. Both are great in their own rights and require different skill sets. You'll learn a lot visiting a variety of circuits both indoor and outdoor.

Had the pleasure of being the very first non staff to run this track on speed 4, just after reopening. Really really enjoyable, very fast, and the first 2 corners are great. I was at the track the other week and was chatting with the general manager there, and they ended up changing the minimum time then, so anything under 20 seconds should count now. My unofficial "official" lap time is a 19.3, and as a heavyweight, I'm quite glad to be ahead some of the lightweight fellas. Great stuff!! 😎
@RobGoesRacing13 күн бұрын
Oh, that's cool. I'll have to try again then and get the official timing! 😂

I wish they had screens on regular electric kart sessions, would probably help for public sessions too showing people yellow flags on the screen. Also grats on getting a lap record that no one can beat 🤣
@RobGoesRacing19 күн бұрын
Yeah, I can see the screens being helpful, even in member races. Longer ones where you end up being lapped (or lapping) for example. You might be able to tell if the lead pack are coming through... If only there was a flag we could use to show that! 🙄😂 It has the potential to be beaten! If someone goes and sets a 20.000, that'll be the record! 😂
@user-ir2uk1lt9l16 күн бұрын
Screens would be so helpful in getting better lap times. You can change a corner and see the result each lap. Its difficult to remember when analysing an 12-18 lap session otherwise! Also the technology is already there at most teamsports. They already have live lap timing on the app. They just need the screens on the car to give the driver this info.

@RobGoesRacing21 күн бұрын
I didn't see the contact, nor does it show on camera. All I know is it takes two karts trying to occupy the same space to get spun around. That's all I meant by two into one 🙂 I wasn't apportioning blame to or defending for either driver 👍
