Hey there! A great franchise to dip your toes into some horror are the resident evil games. For PS4, used copies of these games a relatively cheap and they’re not only a little scary but also fun to play. 7 is my favorite and it’s a pretty good entry, especially if you like shooters. The Dark Souls Trilogy on PS4 is decently cheap as well and those are some great RPGs. They may be a bit frustrating at first but I promise they’re not as hard as people make them out to be. Lastly, if you get yourself a Wii, make sure you get a model 1 so you can access the whole GameCube library as well!

Highly recommend the 2nd Little Nightmares, imo it’s tons better than the 1st definitely worth the experience! Bramble the Mountain King is another more obscure yet very story driven platformer(rather dark though with a contrast of beautiful scenery)

It's really interesting to learn that you have such an intense personal reaction with FPS games. My go to as of recently has been Rising Storm 2 especially since a sale just brought the game back from the dead, but the game and the Red Orchestra/Rising Storm series is referred to as a PTSD simulator for a reason, so definitely something you have to work your way up to. I have a lot of time with Rising Storm 2 and at this point it honestly doesn't even play like a shooter anymore, more like a puzzle game against other players is how it plays to me. The Yakuza series and Hitman World of Assassination have also been good lately, those are both on PC and console. A good PC strategy game is Triple A, which is a free open source game based off the Axis and Allies board game. It's pretty easy to learn but hard to master, you will likely need some guides to get familiar with it, or just playing alongside someone is also a good way to learn (I'm honestly open to teaching if you want to learn it). The most solid old cod game if you have to get one is CoD4, considered the best by many especially since it changed the entire game industry. Probably the PC version is best since it still has an active multiplayer base.

@@military_snake that's actually goated, yes if you like A&A Triple A is a really good time, tons of custom maps and online play too. Even an editor mode if you want to get really quirky and have everyone be against France or something silly like that.

First of all, there’s a bunch of essential consoles you absolutely have to obtain in order to get the most genuine and wide variety of games via, for example, native emulation, resulting in the best bang for your buck imaginable. Some of them are quite pricy, but normally all these consoles belong in the garbage bin, so you can get them off thrift shops or eBay with no hassle. High to low priority, assuming you got nothing from the list below: -> Wii U instead of Wii (Wii + GC 100% support, NES+SNES+N64 VC titles) for ca. 100 bones -> PS3 (PS+partial PS2 support including almost all classics) preferably slim with at least 250gb storage for like 60 bucks -> Xbox 360 (partial og xbox support including almost all classics) for around 40 dollars -> (new) 3ds (NOT XL - has reduced ppi compared to the small one; full GB, GBC, GBA and DS backwards compatibility, although DS games have goofy scaling due to change in screen ratio from DS to 3DS, so maybe you should get a DSi as well if not content with image quality) for 100-160 bones; is also cheaper to buy from Japan and change the language via mods later - there’re guides on KZbin -> PSVR for your old hag ps4 for a dozen of fascinating Sony-exclusives and entry-level of PCVR for ca. 120 dollars (PSVR 2. Two nes games, “Castlevania” “Contra” And if ever possible try out some sega Genesis. Mortal kombat on the genesis is just so dang fun. Also try out some of the sega game gear/gameboy library. Also maybe try out some PC-Engine if y’know what that is. Recommend using emulation for that system as the games are rather expensive kinda like Sega Saturn. I own many systems and the cheapest one to buy for is original Xbox and Atari 2600. Castlevania will test your skills and so will contra. Might be the two hardest games you might experience in decades possibly except for maybe dark souls or other games. Oh also recommend cleaning the bottom of the nes motherboard that sticks out from well- the bottom with a q-tip and some isopropyl alcohol to get dirt and such off of the cartridges so you don’t stick more dirt into the system. Also blowing creates moisture so please don’t do it.

I’ve seen you play Need For Speed recently, so the game that I’d recommend you play next is MY favorite need for speed game, which is Need For Speed Underground 1. And the platforms that it’s on are the original xbox, ps2, gamecube, gameboy advance, arcade, and pc (only if your pc has a disk drive)

i had nfs carbon on my ps2. also, there's really no reason not to build pcs without a disk drive, they're just SATA, and plug in like a normal HDD. if anything it's another excuse to build in an old case with 5.25" drive bays 😀 💿

If you like shooter definitely try borderlands 3 on ps4. If you're looking for a racer definitely try out burnout paradise on ps3 or ps4. If you like hack n slashes God of War 1, 2 and 3 are some of the all time best. Huge scale of things, gore, intense gameplay sequences, amazing cut scenes dude. And yes,you MUST play halo. Having grown up on the Halo series, now 2 gaming generations past the last supposed good Halo game and I havnt seen another shooter as good as the Halo seeies or the Borderlands series (borderlands 2👍). These 2 are the top shooters of all time in my book.

I said that I like FPS games and racing games a lot. That's mostly been all the experience I've got. I don't believe I'd hate them just because they're a certain genre. I've tried a handful of RPGs in the past, I just never got far because they were on a family member's console that I only visit about once a year. Breath of fire 3, lunar silver star story, lunar blue star complete. Legend of mushi, metal gear solid, twisted metal 3, I could go on and on about the ps1 releases. Oh and fun fact they are remastering lunar series next year for release on all platforms. Lunar had epic cutscenes and fully voiced for a lot of the game. This was out around final fantasy 7 which had no voice overs at the time
