You're forgetting that most of these animes were made before the Manga was finished. Like with Soul Eater the Manga wouldn't finish for another 4 years after the Anime. The "Brew the Tempest arc" was when Soul Eater started to deviate from the manga, so I'd say it was closer to 70%-75%. But yes, Soul Eater Brotherhood When?

I've never seen an anime seem like it randomly started a different show in a second season like Tokyo Ghoul lol. I legitimately starting season 2 thought I was watching the wrong show or somehow missed episodes, like a season lol. Aesthetic one of if not favorite anime of all time and season 1 is pretty good but I've never seen a downfall like that lol. Like it literally wasn't just bad it wasn't even the same story lol. Always said Tokyo Ghoul bad needs a remake. It's had the potential popularity wise to be a top tier. Still has a top 3 most viewed anime op of all time but it ended up being a drop on the pan because of the weirdness.

Did you know Rosario+ Vampire and To Love-Ru have character arcs for all their cast, but the anime removed the reason why the girls fell for the MC. Like they removed all of Momo Deviluke character and added her in a one off episode in a OVA Special when she's the main character in the sequel series.

because most of those manga were still on going and the ending or next part to them hadn't been written at the time. So the production company had to make their own endings or changes to fit the schedule for the anime's run. Soul eater as an example ran from 2008 to 2009, the manga wouldn't end until 2013 there is no way they could have waited four years for the ending to come out it's just the nature of the industry.

Later, when she saves him, instead of dying, she goes into a coma, and the doctor who examines her realizes she's pregnant. And, during the final battle, Tatsumi becomes a dragon, but Mine still marries him. In fact, the premise of Akame ga kills sequel, Himawa ga Crush, is Akame trying to find a way to turn Tatsumi bacl in to a person. Also, Wave confesses his love for Kurome and stops the fight between her and Akame, and the two of them settle down.

As someone who mainly reads the manga and light novels I feel many series were picked up for an anime way to early, especially the good ones. Not only that but even when series get picked up a little later in their serialization they are often not done when the anime starts closing in on the current material so the animators, sometimes with the creator's advice/guidance, just start making stuff up (filler/anime only) and then the anime either ends while the story is still being written or starts the next season with a bizarre jump. Anime episodes just simply get produced faster than the author/creator can produce new volumes oftentimes.

My issue with Tokyo Ghoul was that the first season was censored to hell and back. Like what was with all that negative photo filter for all the blood. Reminds me of Terra Formers getting the screen cut-off. Soul Eater was unfortunately not finished by the time the anime ended like the original run of Fullmetal Alchemist.

The Soul Eater manga wasn't finished when the anime ended. They gave it the original FMA treatment. Though I wish they'd also give it the FMA: Brotherhood treatment. It's one of the most underrated shounen of all time in my opinion.

Wish akame ga kill gets a remake that more follows the manga. The art style could be the same and everything. Just wish tatsumi survived

Akame ga kill anime was the main reason I stopped watching anime and started reading manga. The amount of shock I went through when I finished the anime, then went to see the manga ending and saw a fking dragon had a child with one of the characters that's supposed to be dead according to the anime,this changed my life. From then on I started watching anime less

Blue Exorcist followed the manga up until the second half of season 1, THEN they decided to do a completely original story (far as I can tell I haven't read past the part where Rins teacher is about to marry a giant snake demon, yes you read that right) and end it with Yukio now also embracing his demon side and becoming closer with his brother, then season 2 drops and they erase that entire end to the first season so they can follow the manga again, then season 3 comes along and also follows the manga (more or less)

As for soul eater im pretty sure that the anime actually caught up to the manga just as it was finishing. So they really didnt have the blueprint for the 1% left. But they could have definitely waited😭

The problem a lot of the time was the anime usually caught up with the manga, so instead of stopping and waiting they just kept going, like in full metals case

Toriko as well. The anime starts making moves towards the true final boss and the Gourmet World, then gets canceled because of the Buu Saga of Dragon Ball Kai. I don't think the ending they made up is terrible, but I'd love to see the second half animated. The whole thing needs a remake, too. There was some HEAVY censorship and characters not in the manga taking up significant portions of screen time (looking at you, Tina).

Most of these came out when the manga was coming out still, so they caught up with the manga and had to come up with their own endings, and it was either make your own ending or do what Bleach and Naruto did and become more filler than canon source. It wasn't until My Hero Academia came out that they decided to start doing anime by seasons instead of keep the anime going until there's enough source material to animate it

My only argument is that, for soul eater it's like the full metal alchemist issue where they got to the end of animation before the Manga was done. So they had to throw something at the wall or there would have been no ending.

claymore is another example. They reached the manga point 3 episodes shy of the finale of the anime and said fuck it and slapped some shit together. it wasn't half bad but the manga went on for over 2 years after this point.

Exactly. I think it should be law that if you make a screen adaptation of a written work, you should have to follow the source material.seriously how hard is it? 99% of the work is done for you as the script/screen play is already done

I also need both Hellsing and FMA remakes, where they take the first part which followed the manga and stitch it to the second part of the other show (Ultimate and Brotherhood), that spedrun through those parts.
